Great stuff, especially for older transmissions with brass bushings
Awesome stuff. A little pricey, but for my older vehicle with brass bushings, this states it will NOT deteriorate the brass. Very important after rebuilding a 35+ year old transmission at $3,500. It shifts smoothly now, and after 30k miles, did not look too horrible. Temps have never been an issue, and still are not. Being that it is synthetic, I think it actually helps in cold mornings. Previously with the "regular" oil, I could feel the syrupy-ness of the gears engaging. Now it is the same, no matter what the weather is like.

Revived my differential
Very high quality general-use gear oil for the price. Local dealers are charging way too much for lesser fluid of the same spec in my area. I guess you pay the premium for the grape scent 🤷🏻♂️I used this for a very specialized differential that doesn't take limited-slip additive since it messes with the clutch engagement and venting system. For some reason, gear oil without limited slip additive in it is very hard to come by and not very clearly labeled on many competing products. Redline saved the day!Has a clean synthetic/leathery scent to it when warmed up which I think is fine & dandy.10/10

This oil with the NS on the label is good for old transaxles with brass blocker rings.
There aren't many oils that will work in my application which is an old transaxle with brass blocker rings in the transmission. This works well in VW, Porsche and Corvair manual trans axles even with limited slip differentials.

Best Transmission or Differential Option
I've been using Red Line gear oil for some time now. They make the correct option for just about any transmission or differential that requires gear oil. I've replaced any standard transmission with it and have always had obvious improvements in shifting. I use MT-90 in an older MR2 5 speed and it noticeably improved it's shifting. The 75W90 was in an Subaru 5 speed, and same experience was observed - shifting is improved.I highly recommend trying Red Line products.

High coefficient of friction, synthetic
In 2012 I changed the transmission fluid on my 2002 Tacoma.I went looking for SAE 75w90, but couldn't find any.I ordered this and found out that it was synthetic. I knew I wasn't going to find the other stuff easily though so I gave in and used it.So, how does my truck shift now? Well, it's harder to get it into first now because those syncros are warn and this stuff has a very high coefficient of friction, so my syncros in first won't spin up as far as they used to.On the other hand, it's easier to shift the rest of the time. It's a good product, but I'd disrecommend using it on aging syncros. It's a good choice for high performance car though where everything is in good shape and you want fast shifts - it'll slow down that syncro right quick so you can shove it into gear.

Redline makes a superior rear end oil.
I'm changing the oil in my daughter's Honda Pilot rear axle. I chose Red Line because it's a great oil for this purpose.

If in doubt, consult the Red Line application database
My first impression is this stuff made a noticeable difference in my 1993 Subaru Impreza. Shifting was awesome. But I did it to try to increase longevity. I never used Red Line before, never used synthetic before, but wanted to try because shifting was stiff in cooler weather, and there are so many brands I could have tried, I went with Red Line because of product support. There is a discrepancy between what product Amazon says to use in my car and what Red Line says to use, so I contacted Red Line and received a definitive answer within 12 hours. Bottom line: Consult the Red Line database.

Does wonders for older Subaru 5MT
Helped a mistreated 97 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 5MT greatly. 3rd gear synchro felt damaged and 1st to 2nd wasn't very smooth. After the oil change going into 1st is not a issue and the transition to 2nd is smooth. 2nd to 3rd is much better and feels like the synchro is functioning better. Each drive it gets better with 3rd gear. While this won't fix damaged gears this will help and is excellent transaxle fluid for Subaru 5MT.
