Meh
I don't get all the 5-star reviews.Pros:I love the form factor--flash cards.I love the system used in the cards where law is covered for a few cards, and then examples and explanations are provided, and then that is repeated for the next topic.Pretty much every 1L Torts topic is covered. The cards come with a nice box.Cons:The main complain is that, in my opinion, the explanations of the law on the cards are poorly written. In my opinion, they need to be rewritten by a Torts professor. Also, I don't like that many of the hypos provided don't make sense. For example, one hypo asks you to imagine that a company has existed since the age of the dinosaurs and is being sued for something it did millions of years ago. (I'm going from memory, but it was something like that). The absurdity results in my analysis being nonsensical, and I find that distracting. Just use real world hypos, and throw a joke in if you want to lighten things up. Talking about million-year-old corporations just makes things more confusing (and results in irrational if not incorrect analysis).Similarly, after a hypo is provided, the author often will ask the reader to assume something that doesn't fit the hypo-- "assume defendant was negligent". Um, but he wasn't negligent. How am I supposed to legally analyse a paradox? Just write a hypo that makes sense.I literally adopted the practice of skimming the hypo and the explanation on the back, and then rewriting the hypo in my head, and then reading the explanation on the back and applying it to my modified hypo. (Many times I have to rewrite the explanations too.)Also, the text is so small on some of the cards that I can't read them.Lastly, sometimes the content on one card will bleed over onto 1 or 2 more cards. They are flash cards, not pages in a book. Each card should stand alone.I would love to buy more decks on other subjects, but would want to know that those issues were dealt with (especially the need, in my opinion, to have a Torts professor review and edit the statements of law in the cards). If you really need flash cards on Torts, these are great. If you want the best study material for torts period, I can say that I'd look elsewhere.

Must have for 1L's!
I chose not to buy any study aids last semester and use my class notes. Don't be nieve like me. These flashcards are phenomenal. I understand the material better now reviewing them for 2 hours than I did the entire semester last year looking at my class notes. This is great for reinforcing the rules and multiple-choice.

GET IT NOW TORTS WILL NEVER BE HARD FOR YOU!
I lOVE THIS! I am preparing for my exam now with it and I can tell you EVERYTHING we covered in class is presented in this series but in a FUN and explicit yet concise way! I feel like I could have just learned torts from this series lol! It will be a great supplement with your class, my advice is to use it as you go only with the class so you have already learned much of the info you are just re-studying rather than learning lol! DONT go ahead of your professor because once you get to negligence you can get confused :)

Helpful Hypos
I liked these but many of my classmates did not. Just like with the Contracts version, you'd be amazed at what it calls to mind, what you have forgotten, and what actually applies. Helps to reinforce themes.I don't like the organization system and wish it was an app. If I drop my phone, it's not an endeavor to reorganize everything.

Good Stuff
We had probably the worst Torts professor at any top 50 law school. She didn't even know the elements of Assault. The flash cards were pretty clutch, especially for intentional torts. The goofy character names and outrageous situations in the fact pattern questions made them fun to go through and really helped the material stick. They give mnemonics for black letter law, but I'd recommend coming up with your own so they're easier to remember. All in all, though, I'd say this was a pretty good purchase and use of my time while cramming.

Excellent Preparation
I will be starting law school in the spring. These flash cards are definitely helping me learn the law and prepare for school.

These are a good tool to test your mastery of torts fundamentals
These are a good tool to test your mastery of torts fundamentals. But, they are not an exam study shortcut. I would use these after class to make sure you fully understood the material for the day. As finals come closer, you should transition from these to doing practice tests.
