MADE IN USA Need I say more? This plays a lot into my selection, and this time, it isn't eating up much more of my wallet initially; in-fact perhaps saving some, let alone much in the long run. Build Quality One of the standout features of the CURT Hitch Ball Mount is its robust construction. Made from high-strength steel, it offers excellent durability and resistance to bending or breaking under heavy loads, living up to ratings, and undoubtedly surpassing them (though lets not test that). The (tried and true, at least for me) powder-coated finish not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also provides protection against rust and corrosion, ensuring longevity even in harsh weather conditions, and I've seen this across many of their products. Design and Versatility The design is user-friendly, allowing for easy installation and removal, which is a significant plus for those who frequently switch between towing and non-towing activities. Additionally, I like the 4-inch drop and 2-inch rise dichotomy, especially with my lower 5' x 8' trailer. Works great between a Lexus GX460 and what appears to be the standard height of those utility trailers.
