Real Review
Perfect and definitely worth the money. I got it for just over $300 USD, it is the 2024 refresh model, got everything needed to get all its features working, such as dolby atmos. Extremely clear audio, hdmi connectivity is effortless and very appreciated, it does Bluetooth as well and that works super seamlessly and easy. The bass is fantastic, booming, wayyyy more than most weaker listeners would need. Im a bass guy so I truly appreciate the thunder and boom when im watching something. The rear speakers are super nice as well, very high quality and setup was literally a few minutes. Just plug stuff in and set it where it needs to go and boom. All done. I loveeeeee the adjusting side speakers on the soundbar, you will likely want them up or set to wide if you have the speaker slightly lower than your sitting or laying position, 10x more immersion and louder, clarity also is better with the up firing drivers. The app is absolutely fantastic as well, provides a plethora of features and options for the soundbar, way more than any other soundbar I've used, samsung, bose, LG, onn, etc. So Bravo vizio. Just buy it. Thats all I have to say. Nothing is better than this for the price. Even the ultimeas cannot compare. At least not with the sound quality and immersiveness.

Best Budget Option for Room Filling 5.1.2 Sound
This is a great budget system that makes some compromises, but not in the sound quality department. Full disclosure, this was purchased as a Prime Day deal so the pricing was VERY attractive. I would not have paid $499 for any surround system for my use case right now. I was skeptical that this system would work in the space I was intending and have the ability to fill the room with sound but it was both remarkable, and unbelievable at the same time. The subwoofer really kicks and and the sound bar and satellite speakers are really clear and can handle lots of volume. The soundbar projects clean audio really well. What you give up: Mostly connectivity. All you get here is one eArc HDMI port and one USB port. You get Bluetooth, but no wi-fi streaming. You do not get a remote. My old system had a remote I never used it so this is a personal preference. The Vizio App gives you lots of ways to customize the sound through both EQ settings and other advanced sound customizations. After a bit I had nailed down some sound profiles I was really pleased with for movies, TV, and music. The app is good and works fine as a remote but from time to time it will loose Bluetooth connectivity with the speaker or it can lag. Most of the time it will reconnect fairly quickly but you have been warned. You also loose the ability to see numeric volume numbers on your tv or speaker but it was not a deal breaker for me. In summary: This system is a keeper for me and I was actually shocked how full and immersive the sound is with this system. It was well worth what I paid for it and recommend it for the person who is either budget conscious or needs a secondary system for an extra tv in either a bedroom or spare room. It was also by far the easiest sound system I have ever setup, very intuitive and automatic.

Big Sound, Smooth Setup (Even With One Arm… Almost)
The VIZIO Elevate SE 5.1.2 soundbar is the real deal. Setup was fast and painless—except for getting it out of the box, which is a workout if you’ve only got one working arm (speaking from post-surgery experience here). Once it was out though? Smooth sailing. The sound quality is exactly what you'd hope for at this level—Dolby Atmos really deliver that immersive experience. Whether you’re watching movies or just streaming music over Bluetooth, it fills the room in a way that makes you forget you’re not in a theater. Heads-up: there’s no remote included, but if you have a newer Vizio TV, it syncs up seamlessly and you can control everything from the TV interface. If not, the SmartCast app does the trick. The wireless sub hits hard, the surround satellites do their job, and the overall look of the setup is sleek and clean. If you're after a cinematic sound upgrade without diving into the complexity of a full receiver-based system, this is it.

Great sound, easy to install, average price, get it.
Absolutely, love this soundbar, setup. Very easy to install with my vizo TV. Sounds excellent with easy voice detection and great bass. The rear surround sound speakers are small and easy to place and have great sound output as well. There were no installed directions, but you really don't need them as itself explanatory. The price was a little high but worth it in the long run. Shipping was incredibly fast and unpacking. The box was very simple. It does not come with a remote, but you do not need one as it integrates with your TVS, arc HDMI. Using this output, I can control the volume with my TV's remote and it's very easy to work with. The only thing I do not like is the gimmicky colored led bars on the end of the soundbar, you can turn them off though. I understand why they added them. So you can see when it's a dtx s send signal and it points the speakers upwards automatically, which is pretty cool. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend in getting this and don't buy the extended warranty as they are very robust and built very well.

Great product, great price, great seller.
First of all, for being refurbished the product was in brand new condition. It works and sounds great! If you want really good sound and a very reasonable price then this is a great item for you. Connecting was very easy and didn't take long at all. The quality is very good, the item looks good, and sounds very good. The item shipped with no issues and arrived nicely packaged in original packaging.

Wow!
What an awesome sound you get out of this system! I upgraded from the Vizio 5.1 surround system which I loved because I wanted to experience Dolby Atmos, but couldn’t afford a more expensive system with a receiver and dedicated height speakers. The Elevate does not disappoint. For a soundbar, this is hands down the best one I’ve owned yet. You can choose from 3 different EQ modes: Movie, Music and Direct and then you can fine tune the volume levels of all of the different speakers and sub. I use Direct when watching content with Dolby Atmos and Movie for everything else. It sounds fantastic, and it shakes the room just like a movie theater. Some people were annoyed at the fact that this unit does not come with a remote. I was fortunate to be able to use the remote from my previous Vizio system, without the need to buy another one. Honestly, the app is all you need and I rarely grab for the physical remote. As long as you connect the bar to your ARC/eARC port then you can control the volume with your tv remote, as you would expect. I strongly suggest using the app so you can tailor the sound to your liking and play around with the different effects like True Volume which narrows the dynamic range. The cables connecting the rear speakers to the sub are generously long and the subwoofer is powerful for its modest size. Set it up the way it instructs you to: soundbar directly below your tv, rear surround speakers behind your viewing position, with the sub to your side. Personally, I think all of the speakers sound a little bit better if they are positioned a little bit lower than your ears. This creates the most satisfying immersion, but there are alternate configurations if you desired. I’ve had zero issues with the wireless connectivity between the rear speakers/sub with the soundbar. I wasn’t wild about the idea of motorized height speakers on the bar itself. What happens when those motors eventually fail? Considering the high quality of this system though, I see no reason why they wouldn’t last as long as the unit itself. I can’t say enough good things about this product.

Clarity throughout the ranges
This system is pretty sweet, it's quite clear at low and high sound levels. If your seriously considering this for purchase, I recommend doing a search and review the "User Manual M-Series Elevate 5.1.2" and review the many audio options this has (don't let it overwhelm you, watch a YouTube video from a quality reviewer). Be sure it has what your looking for (I'm using eARC and the VIZIO provided HDMI cable that came with it. Using it on my VIZIO 4K QLED M65Q6-L4 ), so it was a perfect match clean direct fit. I don't jam as I did in my younger days, but the sound is very nice while using the SIRIUSXM app and for movies where digital/dolby/surround are readily available. Your limited on how local TV channels broadcast audio so don't judge this by those. I've listened to this system from classical to heavy metal and it's been very nice. I'm mainly a Blues and Swing person which for the Swing, unless digitally remastered, ..isn't fully playable in surround. But that doesn't take away from the main speaker displaying monaural (mono) quality sound (my living rm is 14 x 14) Installation is fairly easy, I picked up a pair of Universal Surround Sound Speaker Stands (that's their name and I have a review of them here at the purchase site as well with pics and measurements) for the satellite speakers that reach above my couch back and compliment the system well. I can recommend this system, but as with anything do your due diligence. Hope this helps with your decision making.

Insanely good!
Little update: After having the setup for a few weeks, my biggest issue is that the bluetooth connection takes a long time establish. This is only REALLY a problem when switching between audio modes for music and back for viewing shows. Movie mode has too much bass for music to be enjoyed and music mode lacks the full surround sound for movie immersion. It is here I wish it did have a simple remote with a toggle. Original: I "upgraded" to this 185w surround system from a 600w Samsung 2.1 soundbar from a couple years ago... I was skeptical, but the Atmos intrigued me and let me tell you... ZERO regrets in purchasing this 5.1.2 system. It sounded amazing out of the box and minimal fuss with settings thanks to modern eARC and CEC. I mean, wow... No physical remote, but I highly suggest getting the app (which IS the remote and visual EQ) to toggle between music and video mode - the difference is very noteworthy. Otherwise you just use the ARC or CEC of your TV/streamer to control the volume, power, mute. It came with everything need in the box as well, from rated HDMI cable to Velcro cable ties - which is quite nice. We tested with Spotify playing some tracks from the musical Wicked, I appreciated the isolated violins and cellos in the rear speakers. And watched Oppenheimer in HDR10+ with 7.1 Dolby Atmos (which processed to 5.1.2 for the Vizio. Considering that TV has become a regular recreation for my wife and I, the money is well spent and the device will see daily use. For a dollar a day... It's paid for itself by the end of the year!
