Yes that’s right. Put a pinch of the powder in a fire safe bowl and light it. It will produce a decent amount of smoke so we suggest starting with a small amount.

I would not think you could use the brass burner. This product is a bit more course. It's more for making cones or sticks.

Q: Is this just the wood or does it have essential oil in it? I just purchased some and it smells a lot like palo santo oil.

This product contains pure ground Palo Santo wood. There is no added essential oil.

Q: Is there a certain type of bowl that needs to be used for this to burn? It’s burning out quickly when I light it. Thanks.

You can use any type of heat resistant plate or bowl to burn the powder. The powder does burn quickly since it is a loose wood powder. You can try compressing the wood tightly to get a slower burn.
