Frustrated - don’t buy it!!!
Something I didn’t mention in my previous review is that it’s extremely difficult to collect all the kefir grains from the strainer when changing the milk. Sometimes it takes me more than 10 minutes because the grains are tiny and scattered. They separate easily, stick to the strainer, and some are always left behind. I recorded a video where you can get an idea of what the process looks like. Every milk change is exhausting, and I know that soon I won’t have any kefir left, since it will be hard for them to multiply at the same rate as they get lost in the strainer. I’ve been adding a little fresh cream to see if it helps strengthen them, but I haven’t noticed any results. This kefir seems like it was made from probiotic capsules, and its smell is also unsatisfactory, which is not normal. So, my advice is: don’t buy it. P.S.: the video is sped up. The photos make it look a little larger than it actually is. I made a mistake because I didn’t take a picture the day it arrived. To me, it seemed slightly smaller than the D. Doss grains, but the size of the kefir grains in the photo is the same. The jar is very small, so to give you an idea of the quantity, it’s less than a teaspoon, and the grains are about the size of strawberry seeds. Because of that, it gives the impression that they might slip through the sieve during the first milk change. I felt a little frustrated, not because of the amount, since I know they multiply over time, but because of the size of the grains. Anyway, after five days of trying to “activate” them, I started using the kefir milk. The flavor is fine, and it seems to be working. I’m just being cautious because there are very few grains, and they seem quite fragile, but I hope they grow and multiply soon. I also believe the seller should consider sending slightly larger grains to customers since these are very tiny.

Delicious!
Read the directions more than once and follow them exactly! I was initially concerned with the size/smell/look of the kefir seeds. The kefir seeds i had used in the past were like little cauliflower pieces, and this batch is tiny. I followed the instructions carefully (this does not come naturally for me), and I trusted the process even though it took several days to get a working batch (clearly expected in the instructions). As they grew, the seeds resemble cottage cheese, in a couple months they have grown/multiplied so that i had about a cup of seeds. I split them into 2 jars and gifted one to friend. I let my jar stay in a dark cupboard for 2 to 3 days, and I am really enjoying the results!

Slimy, did not work.
Did not work. I was sadly disappointed. Not sure if normal, but, when I got it there was a stinky wet stuff all over it, wasnt' sure if that was a preservative maybe? if so, no big deal. but, the grains were all wet and mushy and slimy and just floated around in the milk. They kind of smelled yeasty after 24 hours, but straining them was a problem since it was mostly slime. The third batch I made ended up getting pretty gross and smelled old milk so I tossed it. I didn't take pics, though I wish I would have. Hope this is better for other people, I will be buying a different product.

Good grains
I was able to get the grains to start growing. Now they are big enough to see and growing more. I use organic whole milk. The better the milk is the better the grains grow. Once you get them big enough it becomes alot easier. This company was alot of help also.

I don't recommend these grains
This was my first time using this seller for kefir grains. I used a previous seller before, but they were out of stock and I got impatient, so I tried this seller. I should have paid more attention to the reviews here. From the second I opened these grains, I had serious doubts about their viability. I decided to give it a shot anyway, only to waste a gallon of milk. I am no newbie when it comes to fermenting kefir, as I've been making all sorts of fermented things for many years. I know for a fact this wasn't "operator error," but poor product. Amazon made it right by refunding the purchase price, but I won't be ordering here again. I'll look elsewhere.

Ended up buying from someone else
Smelled bad when it arrived. I followed the directions anyway but ended up with a jar of really nasty smelling rotten milk. My money was refunded and I will reorder now that the weather is cooler. Update: reordered and the second batch had the right smell and I'm guessing it live this time, but I'm frustrated with the quality. The amount if very small and grains are tiny and really hard to gather together after straining. I decided to just order from from another company that I've used in the past. The delivery will take longer but the process with their product wasn't as frustrating.

I do not recommend buying this product😔
It's incredible how they deceive consumers with a kefir that didn't work, which is why my review is 1 because they're so constrained in describing the information to the point of deceiving buyers. The product never grew; it vanished in the milk.I’m
