Good Things Come in Small Packages
Hard to beat this watch at its price point. It is on the smaller side, but still a nice looking piece. The bull bars give it an extra character of toughness and with the 10yr battery, there’s not much to nit pick about. Yes, it’s small, but that’s not necessarily a negative. It’s light and makes it easy to forget you’re wearing it. And although it’s smaller, it’s still legible and easy to read. It has a cool, appearance too. Gave it to my Pastor as a gift and he immediately liked it and was thankful because his other watch quit working on him. He said he felt naked without having a watch and he’s been enjoying this ever since I gave it to him as a gift. Again, it may be small, but it’s a tough little watch that looks like it has an attitude and with a 10yr battery, this is tough to beat for a Casio that’s under $20.00. It’s small, but lean and definitly mean!

A Really, Really Nice Watch
I was looking for a watch that I could wear to the beach -- that would look good as an everyday watch, yet one that could handle some inadvertent sand or salt water. And one, that should salt, sand, rocks and the watch end up fighting it out, losing the watch wouldn’t break the bank. Finally, since swapping out a battery typically eliminates water resistance, I wanted a watch that would last long enough to make its 50+ fathom resistance something I could count on for more than a year or two.Short of a real-life test, this watch is just what I wanted. It’s attractive as an everyday watch, looks good with black (my signature shirt color), fits nicely, and – if the spec’s are to be believed – should survive anything I would reasonably throw at it. I will update this review if and when water, sand and the watch collide. But for now I’m incredibly pleased with my purchase. The watch looks just like its photo on Amazon’s website. The face is a bit small, as some other commenters have noted. But I’m tall and small wristed, and for me those huge diver’s watches just look silly. This fits perfectly, looks great and is very comfortable. For those of you who have larger arms and wrists, however, this may be a bit too small. The cage you see in the photo has some advantages, and will protect the face against some damage and scratches, as others, such as those in construction have mentioned. The nice part here is that the cage can be made to snap off easily with a bit of effort to reveal a very clean appearance and the nicely rounded lines of the face. And, of course, I kept the cage in the box if I need to reattach it. The strap thickness is reasonable and just right for my needs. It may be a bit too thin for rough and tumble wear.Overall, when I combine appearance, battery life, water resistance and price this watch earns a solid 5 stars.

In good light the hands all stand out from each other ...
This was a birthday gift and am enjoying this straight forward dark faced watch. There is no additional light to illuminate the face as we see in other watches so night time viewing will require a light source of your choice. My guess is that any extra light was not added to allow the inner battery to make it to the advertised ten year life span.In good light the hands all stand out from each other to make reading the time pretty easy. In my experience the white minute hand is the best feature as i can see it at a glance. I am still getting accustomed to the red hour hand since i usually see hands of the same color on watches. The second hand is a delight since it has a white circular end and a yellow pointer tip to follow the second indicators. The watch features a sacrificial wire cage to protect the plastic crystal. It is still possible to damage the crystal but the wire bars help to protect the face. The watch fits my eight inch wrist with ease and is comfortable. The water resistance of 100 meters takes the worry out of getting the watch wet in rain or water providing the depths are not severe. This is a good field type watch at a reasonable price.

Quality. It's a Casio, obviously.
The size of the watch is good, its rubber strap is comfortable, feel lightweight, but the bullbars protect it from scratches. Not that I'm concerned about it durability. It's definitely waterproof; tested under rain, faucet, bathtub, and pool. That's useful if you're constantly moving your hands in tight spaces, where it may hit against different surfaces. You get used to the low contrast of the hands and the dial. Running smoothly for almost a year. Hope the battery lasts.

fun watch
Fun watch - less expensive than the cost of replacing a battery. A bit smaller than I expected.Waterproof!

Picture is better than reality.
High quality, good value, but…Red skeletonized hour hand is basically invisible even in daylight, forget about low light. This looked cool in the picture, but it is a big miss. Casio should have made the hour hand same as minute hand.Dimensions are misstated- including the bars gets the size to maybe 40mm, but the actual face under glass is <30 mm, tiny on an adult male wrist.

Good watch for the money
I bought this watch as a Christmas gift for my brother. It looks exactly the same in person as it does in the picture. From just a few days' use, here is the breakdown I would give.Pros:Good, sturdy wristband (he complained about his previous watch, which was velcro)Bars across the face help to prevent scratched plasticEasy to setEast to readLooks good10 years of battery lifeCons:No backlightBars can sometimes obstruct the timeMy own personal experience with Casio has been positive. I have a Casio watch of my own that is analog-digital with a metal band. It is by and far the most reliable little watch I have ever owned. Everything else Casio I've owned or used is of the same high quality.Overall, I would get this watch for someone who is notorious for being slightly clumsy or rough with their belongings. Hopefully this watch will serve my brother well, as he is sometimes careless and notorious for knocking things around.
