Would recommend for home use
This printer , scanner and copier is nice and compact in size, purchased it to replace my brother psc as the scanning function stopped working on it. Installation was more difficult than on other occasions when I have bought a printer. After installing I tried to scan a document but got a message saying you need to download the scanning software. This had to be done after the original installation . I found this a bit strange. Print , copy and scan quality is good . Has a nice slim paper tray that slides very easily, a blue light that shows that you are connected to WiFi ( if it flashes it means you are not ) and a very neat multifunctional display that is easy to use. Has the on and off switch on the back of the printer, light indicator at front showing it is on. Overall would recommend the printer as it is good value for money.

Take your time to set up and you'll have no problems!
Read other reviews and after reading that the only possible drawback was the initial setup I took the plunge! Printer slightly bigger than expected but it has a paper tray underneath to keep paper organised and tidy so that accounts for it. Setup is, yes a little bit longer than it used to be, but you need to follow the instructions carefully to make sure you don't miss any steps. Mine didn't align the print properly during setup bit was able to go back later and complete it. It gives options of whether to sign up for ink delivery every month, stating getting first 3 months free - although sceptical I realised that in the long run it's better to have ink delivered rather than scout around for replacements. I signed up for the £4.49 a month ink, printing 50 pages. My daughter will need for school so thought this is adequate. Make sure you choose HP+ on the app to allow this else you won't get it. On signing up I ended up with 6 months free ink instead of 3 so don't pay anything yet! All in all looks good, prints well and I'm happy. Just remember this is WiFi enabled so anyone in your household can print whenever! There does seem to be an ethernet cable slot at back so possibly can link directly to router if needed. Instruction leaflet quite vague but it's because you have to download the HP app to phone to setup. Easy and simple to follow. Power cable not particularly long though but ok. Satisfied 👍😁

Use manual supplied to set up.
A well designed and manufactured product, let down by non working guide to set it up on computer. But no problem to set up with manu supplied ,takes less than hour from unpacking to producing an excellent working printer and connecting by wireless to computers phones and iPad. Very pleased with it , and that we have stayed with the HP Company product range

Malfunctioning pirnter which has never worked properly and very poor customer care
This printer has never worked properly. I set it up using the HP Smart App as recommended and was able to print a test page but then it dropped its connection to the internet. After winding my way through the various support options I reached a real person who recommended a process - reset, reconnect to the internet, reinstall via the smart app - which seemed to work but this was only a temporary fix. Again the printer lost its connection to the internet and had to be resintalled every time I needed to print. I have spent hours of time trying to sort this out using the chat option. I found that patchy (in that the conversation is not followed through by one expert but picked up by anyone availabale which leads to inconsistency). In my experience the telephone support option provided by Amazon drops out as soon as you conenct to an agent. In my last 'chat session' the technician agreed I needed a replacement printer. This did not materialise and so I'm back into the world of virtual chat. I'm not really complaning about a malfunctioning printer - that can happen to anyone and if it is replaced promptly is not a problem. What I am complaninign about is HP's 'customer care' which really is proving the opposite, takes up inordinate amounts of time and is not leading to a resolution.

Fantastic WiFi printer.
Fantastic wireless printer, fairly easy to install, laptop, desktop and mobile networked very easily. Quality printer delivery to my door perfectly by royal mail parcels.

Great value, looks good, compact, works well. Set up is a bit tricky, or maybe it's just me

A major disappointment.
I had a simple requirement for this printer: that it should not need WiFi. Although it reputedly does work from USB, it does not do it well. This printer sometimes prints double-sided when it is set to single-sided, switches to manual double-sided - from which it won't recover without switching it off. Additionally this printer erratically switches itself off and also uses more ink than any other printer I have ever had. All in all, a great disappointment, even at the low price. I sadly will not be buying another HP printer.

The printer arrived very well packaged and protected. The setup was very easy this time (the opposite of what it was with my previous HP printer/scanner: a HP Deskjet 3630). I needed a Wi-Fi connection to download the drivers. Alternatively, you can connect the printer directly to your laptop or computer with a cable (not included). The only wire provided is for the electricity supply. The printer comes with both black and colour cartridges. The scanner light is blinking when I open the lid. This does not affect the result of the scanning (which is of good quality even at 300 dpi. I give 4* because I need to reinstall the printer EVERY TIME I want to use it, following a previous disconnection of my computer.
