Preference Hair Dye, Long Lasting, Luminous Permanent Hair Colour, 5.3, Virginia, pack of 3

Previously I've always used live colour red for my hair. At some point I used this because I fancied a change, I remember thinking what a nice red it was then stupidly went back to the live the following dye and was so confused and disappointed that the colour was more of an orange tone than previous and then remembered this dye was better. Bought a second time and confirmed, this is a much deeper RED and not an orange tone, almost has a pink tone to it and it leaves my hair lush. So much so that my housemates mobile hair dresser commented on the colour being really good and she was surprised I'd done it myself! The amount of dye you get is plenty for medium to long hair and personally I use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner which keeps it staying red ages. The conditioner that comes with this dye is more than enough for 5 or 6 uses and recommends once a week! All in all, way better than other dyes I've used.

This colour is a very nice deep shade of red, and I have found it has lasted well since I put it on over 6 weeks ago.

Vibrant but the colour bleeds for a few days. Quite subtle. Nice.

I have very dark hair with some grey, and I really loved how well this covered both. The colour was bright and true to the picture on the box.... but... even though I washed it out very well (I've been colouring my hair for many years and I always am careful about rinsing thoroughly), it continued to bleed out of my hair for 2-3 weeks afterwards, making life awkward and messy any time my hair was wet. (I ruined a pillowcase that way.) So, lovely colour, but I'll be trying another brand to see if I can get something that isn't such a mess for weeks after. I have used Preference before, so I was surprised this was a problem with this one.

Love this colour.. but i dont use it for the colour on the box.i leave it on for 5 mins for a lighter gingery strawberry blonde colour. And results are fab.(put this colour over bleached blonde yellow colour)

Colour as described Slightly fiddly but good overall

El por tinte que me he comprado lo único que me a teñido de pelirrojo a sido la cabeza lo demás parece que lo tenga negro. Mi pelo antes de teñirmelo era pelirrojo claro 😭
