I am 55 years old and have SUPER BABY FINE hair that is just past shoulder length. I know short hairstyles have always been best for me, but it requires CONSTANT, repeated, same day styling and ONE simple, age-related "Hot Flash" leaves you with FLAT, STRINGY hair full of sticky chemicals no matter what.With time growing it longer to put up in a pony tail tends to be the simplest long term solution,...however boring as it is. This item was a last ditch attempt to give some sort of life and fullness to a lifetime of stringy hair.Super simple to use.... I immediately after showering with towel dried hair only, comb out smooth and use this item. Hair is still quite wet (and has also been conditioned in wash process). I simply "BRAID" my wet hair over it as the videos show. I have found for my hair to NOT braid TOO tightly (as it makes it more "kinky" rather than "curly"). The velvety material does a good enough job "holding" that it does not slip out during sleep. My hair is SO FINE that the large hair ties provided don't do much to hold, so I still use traditional hair ties to hold the ends on, then reinforce with the large ones provided for sleeping.Not TOO BAD for overnight sleep. I tend to be a stomach sleeper and with time, the overnight comfort is tolerable.I wake up with soft curls that I finger through that actually hold ALL DAY. As Hot Flashes progress throughout the day, I do get "flat" on top (as expected), but sides and length still hold their curl without use of hair products. Exactly what I was looking for. I originally had a harder foam with satin cloth and it did not tie at the ends or have a wire to pin it up or back. Made it very hard to sleep in. Finally bought this one with it looking softer, had more of a velvet cloth material to hold the hair in place better, The rod is soft and plush making it softer to sleep on. The ties are soft and leave plenty of fabric to tie. Used my satin cap to place over to sleep over night and woke up with better curls than the first one I purchased. Super pleased with this product and the stitching on the ends were very well done so you can tie them tightly and not have them rip. The only thing I would suggest to to maybe supply tiny hair ties plus the velvet like hair ties. I used some with the hair scrunchies they provided and my hair at the ends stayed on the rod better than just with the scrunchies. Still a really great product for the price and to save me time in the mornings lol total win!

This product has a bit of a learning curve, it took me a couple of uses before I got the results I was looking for. It was, however, worth sticking with as it produced, beautiful, soft, flowing curls.

This was the overnight curl solution I've been looking for. I'm an aggressive sleeper and it stays in and does not feel uncomfortable at all. My curls last all day. It only takes like 5 minutes to wrap my hair each night. I've spent so much more time and money on other ways to curl my hair and this $12 item was actually the only thing I needed! Game changer.For more relaxed curls, use bigger chunks of hair. When I did it the way the pictures show, I got VERY curly, hot roller style look. It was impressive, but not necessarily what I want for everyday.

I give it 3 stars because it was fairly easy to do. I did spritz my hair with some water and heat protectant. I slept with it in. When I woke up I just shot some hot air from by blow dryer on it. I added some shine serum and hair spray. The curls were great in the morning when I took it out. The left side of my head had looser curls than the right side. They fell out as the day wore on. There was still a nice wave that night when I went to bed. The next morning it is barely wavy. When I use heat, my curls last for 3-4 days before I wash my hair. If I just need a day, maybe. I’ll try to do a tighter wrap and see.

Love it, way to use, makes great curls and you can out it on wet hair and sleep comfortably. It even looks cute.
