Enjoyable , robust enough and …
Currently working on a big SUV Lexus and we had a couple areas that were pretty difficult to turn wrench so this really helped us and some of those tight spots.I will say that it does not have the torque needed to really snug down above maybe 55 pounds but otherwise it’s a great tool to haveOne of the best parts is having the 20 V battery compatibility with the rest of my tools. So for me, I’m having 18 V and 20 V as long as I don’t jump brands every once in a while happens and that is not fun.Recommend this shop garage person but if you are a commercial person, I would say spend 4 to 6 times this amount for some of the higher end modelsYou can’t expect this tool to equal a M-16 tool. That’s why they have the high price and as much as they may be a little more robust, it does not mean that they also have the torque over the top of this one.Look at this as more of a speed convenience than anything elseI highly recommend that you try this product out. It has the typical turn the selector direction as most of the old-school wrenches do and it’s very comfortable in the hands and easy to grip.In a pickle, we would hit the Ford button while actually using the handle as part of the Twerking and that helped us to really turn some nuts beyond the torque capacity of the tool without stripping anythingIt’s almost you didn’t have the motor. It would be as strong as a typical ratchet wrench, which is a bonus.

Game changer for me
I guess I'm stupid but I never could see why anyone would want a powered ratchet when it seemed like I was doing just fine without one. Boy was I mistaken!I love all things for Dewalt batteries so when I saw this I though I'd give the world of powered ratchets a whirl. As soon as I got it I put a battery on it to make sure it worked and then set it aside for a while. Today I had my first chance to try it out on a real world use. I was needing to remove the handle off of a generator that was held on by 4 highly torqued bolts. The area I was working in was kind of tight so it would have been a little difficult trying to swing a manual ratchet in there but no problem reaching it with this ratchet.Again, I'm stupid here, but I didn't realize that powered ratchets were impact so I was preparing to get a death grip on the ratchet when I fired it up. The thing started impact ratcheting and in two seconds the bolt was out with zero effort. The other three quickly followed suit. I was astounded at the easy of use. Needless to say, this thing is a real game changer for me.Since I've never owned one before I can't say how this compares to anything else. I'm sure there are more powerful ones but this one is going to work just fine for me - AND IT TAKES DEWALT BATTERIES!Highly recommended.

It’s okay
Not bad for the price. Quality seems to be good. Have manually to adjust each time.Dewalt Battery fits great, used a couple of days now and still going. Not as efficient as name brand but works great for the price.

Mostly great, except for one annoying flaw
I'll just get to the flaw immediately. It vibrates the battery loose. I tried four different Dewalt batteries, and it did it to them all. The big batteries are worse and need popped back in every few seconds. It definitely seems to work best with the little guys, like a 2aH battery. It gets more power from the bigger packs, but also doesn't like to hold onto them. It's not the end of the world, but it's annoying. The battery won't hit the ground or anything. It just comes dislodged from the terminals and shuts the ratchet down. The speed control on this surprised me. It works better than some name brand stuff. There are quite a few steps between low and high, and low is quite low and high is quite high for one of these. The build quality isn't far off from actual Dewalt. It's not quite there, but it definitely doesn't feel like cheap junk. If you stuck a Dewalt sticker on it and handed it to me, I probably wouldn't question it until the battery started falling out. If you do compare them side by side, a real Dewalt is nicer, but's about 50% more expensive. The funny part is that they point at a blank section of this in the listing and claim it's the forward/reverse toggle. That's where it is on the real Dewalt, but not on this. It's down on the side, as you can clearly see from the pictures. It does have a solid anvil, so that's going to make removing most sockets annoying. There's no release or bearing or anything there. This thing has some power. I tightened down a 3/8" bolt as tight as I normally would with a 3/8" ratchet. This hammered for a bit and then removed it without any issue. Well, aside from the fact that it rattled the battery loose most of the times I tried it.So, it's pretty decent. I think I would still go for the name brand cordless ratchet though. It's only about $50 more on Amazon. If it were more than that, then I'd go with this, but if it's that close, I'd have trouble not just getting the real thing

Save your knuckles
I've been doing more work on my car and I've found I don't always have great clearance to use a regular ratchet (let alone fitting in a battery-powered driver or impact). A mechanic friend suggested easing some of my labor by using a battery-powered ratchet and since I have several other DeWalt tools this seemed like a good option. It's been very helpful in loosening bolts as well as tightening them back up (and finishing with a torque wrench to bring up to the proper spec). Putting the mode switch in the middle (between forward and reverse) lets me use this like a manual breaker bar, so I can use arm strength is the motor alone is not enough to loosen a bolt. The addition of a light near the head also helps when working in an awkward location and trying to find the bolt head. This has been a big help, and saved me from some skinned knuckles when working in tight places.
