I have bought and built many brands of modular building block sets. Price wise this sits somewhere between the most expensive well known brand and some lesser known budget brands. I had never heard of Funwhole but decided to buy this set as it was on an offer, yet still pricier than some of the budget brands. However, the extra money was definitely good value. The bricks are good quality and mostly as good as the more expensive brand, but where this set came into its own was the light fixtures. Other brands just throw a set of lights in the box and it’s for you to work out what to do with them. Experience has taught me to just put them in a drawer. This set however provides detailed instructions on how to fit the lights, hiding wires by use of bricks produced especially for this purpose. Even the battery pack sits nicely so it looks like it is part of the build. When switched on, the lights look great. Of all the sets I have built, I think I enjoyed this the most. It was fun and rewarding, especially when I turned the lights on and they both worked and looked great. I would have liked a bit more height to the building - but I think that is a personal preference. I would not vote the book cafe as the most impressive build looks wise, but the fun I had building it has made it one of my favourite builds.

This was such a fun build Bags well labelled Instructions were easy to follow The light installation was done whilst building, which again was quite simple Sadly a couple of pieces were missing. Amazon quickly replaced with a completely new box. Although this was a bit of a pain, it compares more favourably with the brand who take a couple of weeks to replace the bricks. The bricks went into place securely and well, as good as the branded version. I love the finished cafe and many folk have complimented it too. The lights really enhance

Bought as a birthday present so cannot comment on the item. The person really likes this make, easy to read and follow the instruction booklet.

Amazing! Really enjoyed doing this though I did have to ask my husband to help with the electrics due to my clumsiness. Excellent quality with easy to follow instructions. I want to do more!!

The Funhole book cafe with lighting was an enjoyable experience. I have never had a light kit before so was a bit nervous, but after a few trial and errors I made it and I am so proud of myself.

I've been a Lego fan for years but with their rising prices I am unable to afford the sets I want. This brand is a fantastic alternative and a great price. The quality of the bricks is equal to Lego and has the bonus of full light kits built into the design. I highly recommend giving this brand a go you will not be disappointed.
