It's a good riser. It's well machined and it doesn't have the normal problems of sprue markings and whatnot like the other risers tend to do. The part of the rail which mounts to an existing rail has excellent screw sizing and the clamp has very good depth which translates to an excellent lockup when it's installed. The screws are as large as my thumb which is great. The rail can be manipulated with gloves. It also has the normal cuts for accepting a quarter or a screwdriver to help get it on and off. The screws are a bit tall and on one of my thinner rails on a lowpro handguard they came up and pushed the screwdriver out - but this is a lowpro handguard so we know it's already on the thin side. The channels for the screws are appropriately sized so that front to back wiggle doesn't happen. The rails own teeth are well made and held all the accessories I went to mount on it.

This riser is exactly what you need for a scope on an AR platform rifle with an A-2 front sight you don’t want to remove or may not want mounted on a handle that puts your scope up a little to high. In my case however I had to loose the rear sight because of the scope that I added on this riser. WORKS GREAT

This works perfectly on my M&P 15 .223. I did have to remove the back sight in order to make this fit the rail which is fine because I don't plan to use the open sights anyway.

Used this to put a large scope on my AR. Raised it high enough for east sighting without having to tilt my head much. Looking forward to some range time with it.

You must use blue lock tight or the screws will come loose. Be very careful not to over tighten them or you will break the screw.

Great mount. Easy to install. I'm now able to use my hard sights as well as my scope.
