I bought it for use in my UTV. I use it to pull logs, stuck ? lawnmower psych, etc. Great tow cable. Very satisfied with it.

The end loop on the cable came undone when pulling a zero-turn mower. The cable may hold 10,000 pounds, but the ferrules securing the cable loops will hold less than 1000 pounds. It's cheap so expect what you pay for.

We tried to use this for our dog's dog-run.First, the finishes of the wire as well as the metal clamps that tie the wire down are very crude. Raw exposed, sharp wire drew blood from my hand and tore lots of fur off my dog. I was able to solve some of this by beveling sharp edges and grinding the extra wire down as much as possible.Second, the clasps are very poor. The hooks are thick and strong, but the sprung clasp is very thin, weak metal and can be pushed to the side completely disengaging the capture of say a dog collar loop. Our dog can undo the clasp simply by rolling on his back a few times.That said, the length is as advertised and the sturdiness construction, other than the very flimsly clasps, is as-expected. If you're dragging something it should be fine. Just keep it away from soft things like human hands & pets and don't expect the clasps to do much.

Have not used but compact storage and potential emergency tow use a great value.

delivered on time and she is strong. got her for hooking up to different vehicles, some without shackels, hook diectly to frame to 4 wheel em outta the ditches. no complaints, good hook chain, but she does have a strong odor to her.

Strap caple strong and the hook too small have to careful on that..Just for sedans car, i worried for a big truck hooking

I bought this to use as a quick hook-up for pulling some logs. I liked the plastic sleeve around the cable and the clip-hooks were exactly what I expected. To be clear, this wasn't for serious logging, it was to pull a couple of small trees away from my driveway into a back field. The crimped end of the cable snapped out of the crimp while pulling a 12', de-limbed spruce log across wet grass. A light load ( I moved it into position for pulling by hand) that never should have given something rated for 5 tons any problem. 2 stars because the fit and finish is as described and I'd rather move this around (about 5 lbs) than a heavy logging chain (about 50 lbs). Maybe I just got a bad one but I won't use the second one I bought at the same time for anything but dragging brush.
