Short lifespan
There were good when I first got them in January. Now in October the batteries don’t last through the night. And the sound is becoming distorted.

These are the best sleep buds I’ve ever used!
If I could post pictures, I’d show how dramatically my sleep quality improved since I started using the Soundcore A20 Sleep Buds. On Garmin my Sleep score it could be as law as 47 now its 82 and stable. My body battery night charge changed from 18 to 50. Can you imagine that? I couldn't. 👀😅 I have small ears and I sleep on my back and side — and these are incredibly comfortable in both positions. They stay in place all night and don’t cause any discomfort, even when sleeping on my side. The passive noise isolation is excellent. They really do block out external sounds and lull me to sleep quickly. I personally prefer steady noises (like brown or pink noise) over nature sounds — and the Soundcore noise library has everything I need, so I don’t even use Bluetooth. The built-in sounds are great quality — no worse than what I get from my Sound Oasis S-6000 machine or its app. You can also mix up to three sounds together and transfer four custom mixes to the buds. Just keep in mind that there are three preloaded mixes on the buds, and you’ll need to delete them first if you want to replace them. No sleep buds are perfect, but these come the closest. I’ve previously tried Bose and Oslo — neither worked for me in terms of comfort or sound. I already ordered a second pair as a backup. And in June, Soundcore is launching a Kickstarter campaign for their new A30 version — definitely looking forward to it!🤩🙏 Oh, and if you have any issues with connection check your Bluetooth and battery permissions in your phone. That's happened to me, with my sound sleep mask. I disabled Bluetooth LE audio hardware offload in my telephone settings. And also check if you are using any sleep sound app or YouTube or whatever app you are using with sleepbuds. Battery optimization should be off in every app.

Defective battery... don't buy!
Battery loses charge in the earbuds after some use. Last only a few hours not a full night even on 50% volume.... Not recommended!!

Amazing sound proof noise cancellation comfortable to sleep with
I used Bose sleep buds but they were very pricey and after 1 year they would wouldn’t charge properly, so i tried these sleep buds and they are amazing! Comfortable to wear and sleep with definitely sound proof noise cancellation i live in a noisy busy area I do not hear anything! The best part is you can choose different sounds, white noises, or any music. The alarm is integrated so no need to stress about not hearing it from your phone. I definitely recommend if you are light sleeper like me or have a snoring partner 😅

Not comfortable for side sleeping
So i have tried many sleeping earbuds, the best ive tried so far were the bose sleepbuds 2 that died in the end, i saw lots of reviews about these soundcore ones and i was convinced they were better with longer battery life but to my disappointment they pressed against the cartlidge in my ear and my ear was sore the next day. Was quite disappointed. Dont know if a company will ever be able to perfect the sleeping buds in my life time.

Disappointed with Anker’s Warranty Support – Avoid if You Expect Good Service
I purchased the Anker Soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds from Amazon, attracted by the advertised comfort, noise blocking, and sleep features. Unfortunately, the product developed issues within the warranty period. When I contacted Anker for support, I expected a professional resolution. Instead, they informed me that the A20 is no longer available and offered me either: • A downgrade to the older A10 model (with fewer features and shorter battery life), or • A 50% refund toward another product. I deliberately chose the A20 over the A10 when purchasing, so being forced to accept a lower version or partial refund feels unfair and unprofessional. Companies like Apple set the standard by replacing faulty products promptly or offering fair alternatives — even outside warranty. Anker, unfortunately, falls far short of that standard. This experience has been a disappointment and a lesson not to rely on “budget” brands for after-sales service. While the earbuds seemed promising at first, the poor warranty support has left me with no trust in Anker products going forward.

Worst product/scam
Worst product especially for the price, didn’t helped sleep at all, doesn’t block or reduce noise even a bit until I put the sound full which is not good at all for the ears, it supposed to detect the noise and adjust volume accordingly but when I used it, that never happened

I have used these headphones every day since I got them. They are comfortable enough to sleep in, which is a priority for me because my husbands snoring keeps me awake. They are easy to use, I love the case. Would replace immediately if I lost them

I previously had Bose Sleepbuds 2 which failed and had to be returned for replacement. As I now cannot sleep without white noise to mask external sounds (not block, these are not ANC, but instead they mask sounds by playing white noise to stop your brain from being able focus on other noises) I had to find something to use whilst I waited for my replacement sleepbuds. I took the gamble with these at an offer price of £99 (the Bose sleepbuds are nearly 3x the price). I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the quality or features, but couldn’t have been more wrong. The A20s are pretty much better than the Bose in almost every single way. The comfort is great. They are ever so slightly bigger than the Bose, but only by a tiny amount and still more than comfortable for side sleeping. Battery life is solid. I get 6-7 hours sleep and use in sleep mode only. In the morning I have at least 50% battery, so even when the battery starts to degrade, I’m still going to be able to get a full night sleep with them. Using in Bluetooth mode might not offer the same amount of battery life, but they offer an auto switch over mode so you can start in Bluetooth mode and then switch to sleep mode after a set amount of time or when they sense you’ve fallen to sleep. The Bluetooth mode is a standout feature compared to the Bose. You can listen to music, podcasts or anything you’d use normal earbuds for, with the added benefit of then having a full sleepbud feature for sleep time. The sound for music and media is not as rounded as a specific earbud, but that’s not what these are to be used for. It’s an added feature that adds versatility and value as to how you can use them. The app is fantastic and has sleep tracking features and reports, alarms and also a whole suite of noise masking sounds. The customisable sounds are also a massive selling point over the Bose sleepbuds. Bose give you their sounds and nothing can be tailored, so you’d better be happy with what you get with the Bose. The A20s allow you to layer up to three sounds, with different volume levels to create a sound that is perfectly customised to your own needs and preferences. I’ve used a couple of different rain sounds layered over a brown noise track that gives a complicated enough sound so my brain can’t focus son external sounds. I find that 40% volume is perfect for falling asleep to, anything else is much too loud, so reviews saying these aren’t loud enough I find very confusing as can’t see how you’d want them very loud. I eventually got the replacement sleepbuds back from Bose, but they have remained sealed in the box as I now can’t go back to them having found these to be a much more superior product in every way. If you’ve had sleepbuds that have failed and, like me, you can’t live without them, the A20s are a solid replacement at a much better price point. Anker have done an amazing job with these and have beaten the market leader at their own game.

Let me start by being honest; Amazon's not letting me review the new A30's here but here's my review of both A20's and the new A30's. This is posted on SoundCore's site as well: First a couple of back story statements: Amazon is now not taking reviews of the A30's unless the buds are purchased through them and since I was part of the Early Bird KickStarter and got them directly from SoundCore I couldn't do a review there (where most of the reviews are posted and viewed). It seemed that the majority of reviews on Amazon were from first time SoundCore users. I've had six months of A20 use and the same amount of time communicating with SoundCore's Support Team and Tech Team so I have some viewpoints on that. As a note I was a Bose SleepBud user for three years and experienced all the down sides of their difficulties with battery, range and software glitches that eventually drove them to decide to discontinue the product. Here's my take going from the plus side to the somewhat negative side: For those of us who had good experiences with the A20's the shift to the A30's is far easier than it would be for a first time user. The app layout is similar with some changes that take into account the ANC tech and the ability to store more than one "Land" sleep sound whether white noise or snore blocking. While this seems a little clunky unless you want to continually change sleep sounds night by night I don't see any issue with this. The setup is quite easy as were the A20's and pairing whether using the app or the Bluetooth setting is simple. The app's navigation is similar to the A20's with some needed additions to the Sound Scape variety for pre-sleep. As with the A20's the range of the buds from a phone is excellent so if you have to head to a distant bathroom or elsewhere the long range really helps. The whole reason for switching from the A20's to the A30's was the addition of ANC to the product. The A30 bud is slightly larger than the A20 but certainly still low profile and comfortable and permits side sleeping without issues. The reviews mentioning the lack of sensitivity with the touch adjustments for sound level and switching from Bluetooth to Sleep mode may be due to the need to contact the bud DIRECTLY on the flat face rather than even slightly off center. A big complaint from reviewers on both A20's and A30's is the sudden transition from Bluetooth mode to Sleep mode that's jarring and tends to wake you up with the software detects sleep. I think this is being addressed but is a definite downside for both devices. Again, similar to the A20's. I've communicated some of my concerns about the transition from A20's to A30's directly to SoundCore's teams but my chief complaint is the difficulty in SoundCore's verbiage on the directions for the products. Simple is good and my experience with both the ear buds as well as other SoundCore speakers is that their directions use quite confusing wording and in general need to be far more clear and use simple statements that don't require trying to figure out what the terminology means and what they're intended to do. Finally, I've read reviews that are critical of the ANC function in terms of how much noise the A30's is blocked out. My experience is that the ANC is not nearly as effective as either over the ear cans or competitors' like Bose's noise cancelling but in such a small package that's very comfortable for sleep positions you're not going to fit total ANC in the bud. It does reduce background noise but is certainly not capable of true ANC as of right now. Now for the positive; In the six months I've dealt directly with SoundCore their Support and Tech teams are excellent. In a business that normally does not have the ability to directly contact the manufacturer by phone the Tech team is accessible and very helpful. SoundCore Support is email only but VERY responsive in a short time frame and is very patient and helpful. I know this may seem a side issue but for anyone that's experienced product and setup direction issues being able to get quick responses and tech guidance is a game changer. SoundCore is pushing hard on brands like Bose's product placement and is now in both Verizon stores as well As Costco. With the added customers i'm hoping that the customer service gets expanded and can keep up. I know that SoundCore is working on software updates and some technical tweaks and that should help but right now not sure that switching from the A20's to the much pricier A30's is necessary. For first time SoundCore customers the A30's function well and have some features that make it worth the bucks with the proviso that SoundCore will continue the software and direction improvement.
