I WAS UNABLE TO READ SUBTITLES THOUGH WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED WITH SUCH A SMALL SCREEN. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I COULD WATCH AN ENTIRE MOVIE ON THIS LITTLE PLAYER IF I WANTED AND BE ABLE TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON A) VIDEO FORMAT: AMV @ 128*128 RESOLUTION B) CONVERTER SOFTWARE TOOL FILE IS INCLUDED ON THE MP3 PLAYER AND MUST BE INSTALLED ON YOUR WINDOWS COMPUTER: - THE .RAR CONVERTER FILE ON THE MP3 PLAYER CAN EASILY BE INSTALLED ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER. - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DIRECTX 9.0 OR HIGHER INSTALLED FOR CONVERTER TO WORK - CONVERTER WORKS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. - I WAS ABLE TO CONVERT U571, A 2HR MOVIE (2.11GB), IN ABOUT 15-20MIN, AND IT ONLY TOOK LIKE 5MIN-7MIN TO UPLOAD IT TO THE PLAYER 3) PICTURES: A) FORMAT: JPEG, BMP, AND GIF @ 128*128 SIZE/RESOLUTION B) THE PICTURE QUALITY IS DECENT AND ON PAR WITH WHAT ONE WOULD EXPECT FOR SUCH A SMALL INEXPENSIVE MEDIA PLAYER. YOU MUST DELETE ONE OR MORE HISTORY SLOTS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. EVEN IF ALL THE SLOTS ARE FULL AND YOU DELETE ONE HISTORY SLOT: FOR EXAMPLE, "HISTORY 2", AND THEN START YOUR PEDOMETER, IT WILL NOT STORE YOUR NEXT SAVED DATA TO "HISTORY 2"(YOUR ONLY EMPTY SLOT) BUT OVERWRITE "HISTORY 1" AND CONTINUE TO OVERWRITE EACH HISTORY SLOT SEQUENCIALLY UNTIL ALL 7 SLOTS HAVE BEEN OVERWRITTEN, THEN IT WILL CRASH UNLESS 1 OR MORE OR ALL SLOTS HAVE BEEN DELETED AND THEN IT WILL START STORING DATA SEQUENTIALLY FROM "HISTORY 1" TO "HISTORY 7" AGAIN. 4B) THE BEST WAY AROUND THIS IS TO SIMPLY CLEAR THE ENTIRE HISTORY BEFORE TRYING TO SAVE MORE PEDOMETER DATA -RADIO: MUST USE WIRED HEADPHONES FOR IT TO WORK: SEEMS TO WORK OK A) HAS OPTION TO AUTO TUNE SCAN FOR STATIONS OR MANUAL TUNE B) HAS 30 PRESET STATIONS THAT YOU CAN SAVE YOUR FAVORITE STATIONS TO C) YOU CAN RECORD AUDIO FROM THE RADIO TO THE MP3 PLAYER STORAGE - EBOOK READER - A COOL FEATURE, BUT THE TEXT DOES NOT WORD WRAP. - VOICE RECORDING: WORKS PRETTY GOOD. 1) CHOOSE A BITRATE: 512kbs, 768kbs, 1024kbs, 1536kbs 2) CHOOSE FILE FORMAT: MP3 OR WAV 3) AUDIO FILES ARE AUTO NAMED USING THE CURRENT DATE AND TIME.

Great little mp3 player!
I read a few dozen reviews of mp3 players before landing on this one, and it's working out great. I bought it to be able to spend some time away from my phone, and build up my digital music collection again. It's been a few months, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's easy to add music from my computer - just drag and drop, no special software needed. (I have a Mac.) It's TINY, which I think is a plus. Easy to clip onto my shorts at the gym. It has a super simple interface, not much to get distracted by. The FM radio works pretty good! The charge lasts a few days with moderate use. I haven't used the pedometer or the stopwatch. I wanted something pretty simple and easy to use, but with decent (I would even venture to say great) sound, and this delivered.

Good quality device! Perfect for the gym!
I've been using this mp3 player at the gym for at least 6 months with new sport bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds. It works really well, and I don't end up doomscrolling on my phone between sets, and it fits in my pocket so nicely and I can forget it's there. The bluetooth seemed to work in fits and starts at first (choppy), but then I downsized all my mp3's to 128k (with free online software) and it works much much better - not flawless but maybe only cuts out a few times during a workout, so totally manageable. It's my speculation it works better when the gym isn't so crowded we're not all on top of each other, but that's just speculation. I was able to easily set up playlists for my all my music and it holds tons of songs (especially at 128k). If you're having trouble setting up playlists, it follows the old Sandisk Spot Clip Plus formatting guidelines and folder structure, and there is a lot of old posts line about how to set that up. So I was able to use text files with .m3u extensions. Anyway, sound quality is great and I enjoy the EQs. The feel of the plastic housing doesn't feel that substantial, like it's fragile, but I haven't had any issues and dropped it a few times. I've never gotten it wet before though, so I don't know about that. The battery life happened to be good too! For me, at least 8 hours. One time the batter life indicator was on the last leg and so I left it going to see and it lasted 4 more hours. I'm a fan of this little guy!

Not for Robust Enough for Young Children
USB port is finicky. (Difficult to get it to charge) Not suitable for children. (Easy to crush.) The device is light and looks nice. It was simple to load files onto the device. Just connect to a computer and select the file transfer mode on the device in the displayed menu. The second time I charged device, I had to re-plug the USB-C cable several times before the device's interface displayed that it was charging. Others have noted the USB-C port has issues. Do check that it is charging after connecting power. The device depends on the screen for user feedback. One cannot "guess" through the menus after the screen fails. The device is not robust, and minor crushing is enough to destroy the screen and prevent audio playback. (A 2nd grader child caught it in a car door. While the door will act as a lever arm, the force moving the door was small.) The outer-shell had only minor damage, but it was enough to render the device useless. The device immediately stopped playing music and the screen broke. At a very low price point, these might be useful as disposable music players.

Nice replacement for Sansa Clip
For a long time, I've been searching for Sansa Clip replacement. I've been using Sansa Clip from Sansa Clip+, Zip Clip, Sports Clip, and Sports Plus Clip. They haven't made the Sansa Clip series for few years now and you can't find them new anymore. I've purchased the Ruizu Clip (X52) since it looks similar with the size and price. Ruizu has been known to make quality DAP products, so this is what I went with. It's very similar functionally to the Sansa Clip. Sound quality is on par with the Sansa and the interface is not too bad. It is a bit confusing at first since the down and left button serves as previous in different situations, but it's not too bad. Screen is slightly dimmer than the Sansa, but I like how it takes up to 128GB of microSD card. Using the external card is the way to go since you can transfer music much faster than using the cable. The USB-A to USB-C cable that comes with the package seems to be non standard type, so if you're looking to transfer data, you'll need to use the OEM cable. You can probably use any USB-C cable if you're just powering or recharging it. All in all, if you're on the fence about getting Ruizu because you need to fill the void where Sansa Clip left, this might be the next best thing. One annoyance I have is the fact that the up button serves also as a screen lock if you hold it down. When you're scrolling up through your library, it will lock it down instead of scrolling fast through the list. Only way you can scroll up fast is to tap it fast. It's not a deal breaker though. The fonts are clear and easy to navigate. It does chop some long title names while scrolling through, but again, this is a minor problem. If you're looking for a small DAP that doesn't weigh down your pocket, this is simple enough and affordable enough unit that you might forget about the drawbacks on it.

This mp3 player is okay but not fantastic
This mp3 player is okay. I haven't listened to it bluetooth, but with some wired JLAB headphones I listened, and it's enough to get the job done, but not top quality. I like how easy it is to navigate through it. I ran into a few problems putting my music from pc to the mp3 player. But that problem was from my end, I think. The device was not recognized and I had to keep scanning to fix the mp3 player. The sound quality is okay and it is clear. It's something to get you by. I also liked how it searched for FM radio channels. It was quick and easy. I give this mp3 player 3 stars for being okay.

Nice little player for walkers or workers- big storage, good bluetooth and good battery- Great
I love this little gadget. It is small, a bit bigger than a matchbox- this is a positive. The color screen is very readable. The fidelity on MP-3 is excellent and FM is adequate- some hiss. The headphones are decent quality. Bluetooth is reliable and has a decent range. Build quality is good overall. Operation is ok, I haven't learned the knack of it yet but I can get it to behave. Battery life and charge time are good. I mainy wanted it for mobile music/podcasts while walking. 64G of internal storage is more than my library. Some of the other apps like the stopwatch, reader, etc are pretty well done. Ovedrall very pleasantly surprised- great value for the money.

Not out top Mp3 Player choice
Not a great purchase. Main issue was headphone jack was loose and unusable. Transfer of files seemed easy, yet playing them, another story. Takes too long to do all steps to get files easily into the player. Wanted simpler. Design good with clip for use with elder who can't use both hands. Didn't get a chance to hear sound as headphones kept slipping out. size ok. Not durable as didn't even get a day use out of it. Thankfully I ordered 2 different mp3 players and the other was more intuitive and all worked fine. Also, realized a color better than black for being able to see buttons and all for elder and helpers. Pictures very pixelated. Ebook worked fine with letters and words small, yet doable for reading.. Battery seemed OK too. We might have kept this as back up, if the headphone jack had worked. Not our top choice
