As law enforcement officers / military personnel, we know that wearing a ballistic vest in the heat is extremely uncomfortable. Your sweat soaked shirt isn’t able to dry out underneath your ballistic vest, which leads to bacteria buildup and bad odor. The Draft Vest™ is going to help you with this problem. The Draft Vest™ provides about ¼ inch of ventilation space between your undershirt and ballistic vest allowing air to move throughout the vest thus keeping you cooler and drier, guaranteed! In the past, sweat was sealed inside your body armor all day. Here’s what is unique about the Draft Vest™ when compared to similar products:Four Velcro shoulder straps are stitched in place so they will not move out of position. These straps attach to your ballistic vest straps to keep the Draft Vest™ in place for your entire shift.Velcro sides allow for easy side entry and adjustable fit. Other similar products don’t have the side entry so the vest has to be pulled over your head, which can be very difficult once it’s attached to your body armor. Order one size smaller than your under-shirt.100% Money Back Guarantee! Now, the Draft Vest™ is NOT A MIRACLE. You may still be hot and you may still sweat. But it WILL keep you cooler and drier, guaranteed. Especially when used with an external cooling device like a Cool Cop.Remember, you should always wear your ballistic vest for maximum protection, but now you can wear it more comfortably while protecting your body from bacteria buildup and body odor.100% Money Back Guarantee – Try the Draft Vest™ for a week or two. If you don’t like it, return it within 30 days and we’ll give you your money back, no questions asked.

Amazing product. No more soaking wet undershirt.
I work in a very hot and humid climate. This product keeps your bulletproof vest raised up off your chest. I immediately noticed being cooled down faster when sitting in my car with the A/C on. I did not notice a difference while outside my vehicle outside. I think the best result was that when I get home and take everything off, my undershirt was not soaking wet. Keeping your chest and back from being wet all day long is important. I noticed I don't itch as much as I used to.One of the reviews of this product complained about the velcro being cheap. I find I can easily slide this vest on and off like a shirt without undoing the velcro. After 2 days of use, I started using this product in conjunction with a neck fan. A neck fan is a slim fan shaped like a slim box that sucks air from the front and blows it up through the top. I took a neck fan and stuffed it in my vest upside down at my collarbone. This cooling vest allows the air to blow all over my chest. The fan would not work without an airspace. I find this is extremely effective and basically turns a 10 dollar fan into a 90 dollar cool cop setup that is mobile.I have only used it for a week. I will update this review as needed.*** Update January 2020 ***I have used this product almost every workday for the last 6 months. 12 hour shifts on rotating cycles. The product is holding up well and I have no complaints.Suggestions for use.I spray myself down with benadryl spray for bug bites every morning if I am wearing a vest and I don't itch much as a result. A bottle lasts me 2-3 work cycles. Your skin isn't meant to stay moist for 12 hours. This vest will greatly improve your skin health.I DO NOT unvelcro the sides of this cooling vest. I just slip it on and off like a shirt and spray it down with fabreeze once in a while. A prior review complained of issues with the velcro being cheap. I have not experienced that issue only because I avoided using the velcro as a point of failure. The velcro might be cheap but I sidelined that problem if it is one.One issue I did encounter due to use is my bulletproof vest has a zipper on the rear backing. I encountered an issue there the zipper grabbed into the cooling vest and started to poke me hard. This happened twice. I discovered my bulletproof vest had a pocket I can slip the pointy end of the zipper head into. Problem solved. Had I not found this, I was going to duck tape my zipper head down.Use this with a cooling neck fan in hot weather. It. Is. Amazing.

Approx 1 month of use
I can feel heat escaping my chest. The ventilating vest has greatly helped with the distribution of weight in the neck and shoulder area. Velcro is showing wear and tear. For a $60-80 purchase product should not be having that issue.

I would recommend getting a size smaller than you would normally
I was a little unsure of the usefulness of this product at first, but after giving it a try it performs well. It won't do miracles but keeping you a little cooler and keeping sweat from directly soaking into your vest does help. I would recommend getting a size smaller than you would normally, I ordered a med (which is what I normally wear) but a small would have been a better fit.

This is a great, well made vest and comfortable
This is a great, well made vest and comfortable. It has adjustable velcro straps for a good fit. I sent one to my brother and he liked it so much he ordered six to give to other law enforcement who ware tactical vests. It keeps you cool in the Summer or warm in the Winter.

Definitely Helps
I debated on getting one of these for a while. After one of my coworkers said they help a little, I wanted to try for myself and chose this brand as opposed the the highly popular brand which is slightly more expensive. The fit is good although they could be a bit longer in the front and back towards the waistline. My bulletproof vest is bigger than the cooling vest. I like the Velcro on the sides however even the small has a bit too much slack and isn't snug. It adds a bit of size so if your uniform shirts are tailored tight, you may have a problem. On to the way it works. As I wear it in the heat, I don't feel a huge difference in not sweating as much. Where it really shines is when you start to cool off. My tshirt is nowhere near as soaked when I'm done and I seem to cool down much faster.Overall, I would recommend these if you work out in the heat.

It was expensive but well worth it.
I work in the south where, not only is it a consistent 100+ degrees in the summer, it's also a consistent 80% humidity. The summer heat is so miserable with my vest on that I've thought about not wearing it at all. I was always sticky and soaking wet at the end of every shift. This thing made a huge difference. I can blast the AC or drive with the windows down and I can feel that breeze going between my vest and skin. I'm now dry when my shift is over. Pair this with a moisture wicking under shirt such as Under Armour or similar material and you are good to go. I paid $90 for this. Expensive but after experiencing the difference, its worth it

Poor quality, skin irritating and expensive...
I'm an Radiologic Technologist and have to wear lead for 80% of my cases each day. I sweat constantly because the lead does not allow any air flow. I was hoping this product would help with that.First thing that immediately made this unwearable was the cheap plastic velcro that is sewn into the shoulders I imagine to strap to a bullet proof vest. I had to cut those things off right away since they dug through the shirt into my skin on my shoulders.Second, the material that this thing is made of has hundreds of tiny plastic burrs that also dig into your skin. I had to take wet/dry sandpaper to knock all those down so they wouldn't itch and irritate my skin.Lastly, there is "fabric" that connects the vest at the lower half, again with that cheap velcro. Its made from the same stuff cheap Halloween costumes are made of. It's super thin, I cant see it lasting long after wear and tear from daily use.In conclusion, this will not cool you down while you wear it. Totally false. I still sweat just as much. It does however keep my lead off my skin directly. When I take off my lead it does allow my scrubs to air out and along with a moisture wicking shirt I wear under the vest. For this price I expected something of better quality. Cheap materials and I doubt anyone from this company has ever used there produce, if they did I think many improvements would be made.So much potential to be a good product if they only did a little research first.
