Flawless conpatibility with Windows 10. Total nobrainer. My struggles with a couple I tried before it disappeared. The OS simply saw it, started it, and automatically connected to my phone almost instantly upon plugging it into my PC USB. Worked with both my USB 2 and 3. Havw not yet tried with wife or daughter's MACbook, iPad or iPhines, but am optimistic. Will eventually test with Redhat Linux, as well. Very good performance speed. Reasonable price is highly competitive. I very highly recommend it.

My PC has Bluetooth. However it won't connect any bluetooth controllers or headphones. So I made sure to get the latest hardware in terms of specs so I didn't have problems with this adapter. It recommends turning off the PCs Bluetooth in order to function. Not an issue for me since mine wasn't working. The connection is good. I can leave the room and still have my controller and headphones not disconnect do to the improved Range this adapter provides. Still 2.4ghz can't bounce through walls past a certain point. Still I can go grab a snack and be back with no disconnects. The sound quality is decent enough without additional apps with Equalizer support. Bluetooth has always been known to have issues with sound. But as aux is being removed from everyday devices. I found that its better than having nothing. The microphone is decent enough with my headphones to chat with others while gaming. The connection was clear and stable. The adapter has proven itself useful to me. I recommend this adapter because it's the current version of Bluetooth as of this review. Bluetooth 6.0 is around the corner. So being backwards compatible with every previous standard. You really can't go wrong with this adapter. A great product overall.

I had a 5.0 bluetooth adapter on my pc and it worked great on my LG KD40 phone which was 6-7 years old. But it was not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy A25 5G 5.1 bluetooth. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. The new BT5.4 removed that problem. It works as required between my pc and this new phone which has bluetooth 5.1.

Prior to using this product, my Xbox controller would not have a stable connection to my PC’s Bluetooth. I had to keep the controller within 1 foot of my PC or it would start losing connection, which obviously was an issue.This product completely fixed that issue. You just plug it in, turn off your built in Bluetooth, and it’s ready to go (they provide you easy to follow instructions on how to do this.)I’m not sure what the max range is but I can comfortably walk around my room with my controller and still have a solid Bluetooth connection. I’m sure the connection would make it out to the hallway and farther but I never needed to go that far.

Thought this would increase my range over the BT4 adapter I have, but this one drops connections only a couple of feet away while my old one is good for 15 feet or so.

Tested on Windows 10 x64 and Linux Ubuntu 18.04. Worked fine on Windows, but I could not get it to run on Linux. Not taking a star off since technically they don't say it works on Linux. It did show up as a Realtek USB device on Linux, but I could get no further than that despite dongles like an older one by ASUS working out of the box.Only reason I took a star off is because it did give my computer trouble booting (computer was stuck until I took out the dongle), but I couldn't replicate that problem again.Good product, but sadly limited to current Windows OSs.
