Cook's Tarot

Delicious!
This is a gloriously sumptuous deck for food and art lovers. The deck and book come in a large and very sturdy bookfold box with a magnetic closure at the side. The book is black and white illustrated with a glossy full colour cover and is 155 pages, and the descriptions of the cards are very detailed and include keys to the symbols used in the artwork. The cards are large and high gloss and measure 14 x 9.5cm and are borderless. Because of their size, the cardstock feels a little on the thin side, but still sturdy. The backs are a moss green with a criss cross spoon and fork pattern which, to my taste is a little dull, especially compared to the vibrant artwork. The deck is playful and approachable, and there are no "scary" cards. The meanings make sense, which I had my reservations about initially. All in all, a really lovely deck to add to your collection.

Cards good, book difficult to read
The drawings are original and make you think to adapt the proper meaning, which is what helps develop intuition. The cards are large, solid and smooth, of quality. But the book, who can read that small print? It is the smallest letter I have seen in a tarot book of that size. I do not get it. Half of each page is left because of how lowercase the letter is. Bad

COOKING & TAROT - A PERFECT MIX!
Worth buying for the vibrant colours alone, this lovely deck of larger-size cards with delightful guidebook and attractive, quality box is in no way just 'gimmicky'. It's RWS based and the detailed images are easy to 'read' and amusing without being frivolous or superficial. Certainly a deck for the Tarot reading foodie! Perfect to gift, perfect to keep. Recommended.
