I am by no means an expert on cutting hair, or what hair shears should feel like/how they should perform. I bought these in order to give my 4yo a trim and then to cut my own hair. I honestly just did a search for hair shears that were Prime eligible, and selected a highly-rated pair that were at a moderate price point.These have a nice heftiness to them that makes them feel quality. I think if I were doing a haircut that was taking a long time, they might feel heavy? But again, no real clue there. These were incredibly sharp and effective. My daughter has long, VERY thick hair (like, thicker than most grown adults I know), and these really did the trick. I was also able to give myself a really lovely cut with them - I'll probably never go to a salon again! I have long, fine but very coarse wavy hair, and created nice layers, point-cut the ends, etc. The smoothness and ease of cutting with these was soooooo satisfying. I honestly cut my hair even shorter than I was originally planning because it was just so enjoyable. It's very handy having them, and I've given my son and husband some little trims as well. A must-have in the pandemic era ;)The color and design are lovely, which is sort of neither here nor there for me as a selling point, but it got my daughter on board with sitting to have me cut her hair. You can also tighten the center screw. I'm not sure what you would do that for, but it seems like a nice touch to have the option for someone who might be more advanced than myself.Considering I normally pay like $80 for a haircut, these were definitely worth it!

These scissors are perfect for me and my haircutting abilities. After having bought a drugstore pair of haircutting scissors, that was not very cheap, I was in need of something better. The drugstore pair did okay but I knew there had to be something better that was not too expensive and were more comfortable in my hand. So after reading reviews I bought this pair and I was not disappointed. They are lightweight and so comfortable you can handle them with ease. They are excellent shears for beginners and not so beginners. They are very high quality and very sharp. They cut hair nicely and do not just bend the hair. They are easy to use on any type of hair and even easy to cut my own hair. They provide full control while staying firm in your hand. They have a unique design that fits the fingers even for left-handers like me. They also have an adjustment screw. These are also beautiful shears, which is an added bonus. I have had several comments about the color and intricate design carved on them. I am not a licensed professional but I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a pretty pair of scissors to cut hair efficiently.

Very good quality and are sharp and work well fits great in my hands

These shears are great! I bought them for cutting/trimming my own bangs between going in for professional haircuts. They are so sharp and precise and are perfect for the job.. Lightweight, but still sturdy and heavy duty. Love the rainbow colors and the little gem detail, too, super cute. They cut so straight, i cant believe I've been going without them - no wonder i could never get a perfect trim! The only thing is that i wish the little pouch that they come in would be sturdy enough for storage to maintain a longer life - they arrived cutting through the pouch and due to the tear, i had to throw it out. Need to figure out a different way to store them now, will have to buy/find some other little bag for storage.

I’ve only done a few test snips so far, adjusting the tension until it felt right, but so far, I’m very pleased. They’re comfortable, if a tiny bit heavier than my other shears (I attribute this to their slightly larger size), and don’t pinch my fingers. I was expecting more of a rainbow effect on them, going from the photos, but mine are just pink and yellow. That’s not something to mark them down for, just a personal disappointment. I’m planning to use them later for a haircut, so we’ll see if this review stands!

I'm nowhere near a professional, but got these to add to my personal collection. So far I've cut my roommates hair with these and then used them to trim my hair. I love the look and they work really well ^^ they are heavier than other basic hair scissors I had, but it makes them feel really sturdy and dependable imo.

They cut like crap. Save money and don't buy

These are decent scissors, not the sharpest I've ever bought. I purchased for $10.98 on 3/18/2020 from Amazon.
