I have been using it for 5 years, and it's a great device. It is simple to install, plug in, and use. Good microphone and lighting.

Let me start by saying Amazon offered a lightening deal on this webcam which kinda lured me towards this webcam. It wasn't a great discount, but they sure got my business on this one. As far as the review is concerned, I have plenty of information I collected by playing around with this webcam which I want to share, but I will keep it as brief as possible. I will stick with the PROS and CONS this time. PROS: 1) Sturdy build quality. 2) Two way adjustable setting to make it physically possible to set it on different size displays (Laptop screen panel and Desktop monitors). 3) Green LED to tell you when the device is being used. 4) Amazingly sensitive Microphone (as sensitive as your high end mobile handset's Mic.). It even catches distant sounds we fail to notice sometimes. 5) Image and Video quality are both great for 720p (max resolution). 6) USB cable it comes attached with, is either close to, or over 3.5 ft in length and works perfectly! 7) Webcam software has all the right options you will need to get the Webcam to work perfectly for your need as far as the hardware supports. 8) Has Face detection and Motion sensing features built in to the Logitech Webcam Software and they both do a fantastic job respectively! 9) The software allows you to configure the image / video resolutions on its UI, which is very simple and hassle-free. 10) Software provides digital zoom of 15 steps and with zoom, the Pan and Tilt options get ready for use instantly. 11) Motion sensing sensitivity can be adjusted and this feature actually works as good as it does on CCTV DVRs. Could be quite useful to some. 12) Takes 3 MP pictures (maximum) and 720p resolution videos (maximum). 13) 2 Years manufacturer's warranty. 14) Value for money. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Before we move on to the CONS section, here's a bit of technical information I believe helps a particular group of people who would love to know it before-hand. I'm referring to the Image Quality and File Size / Resolution related information. IMAGE Resolution and File Sizes: The webcam software offers two modes - STANDARD and WIDESCREEN. Standard: Small (320x240) - Around 25 KB Medium (640x480) - Around 50 KB 1.2 MP - Less than 200 KB 3 MP - Close to 500 KB Widescreen: Small (360p) and Medium (480p) - Under 100 KB Large (720p) - Slightly over 100 KB VIDEO Resolution and File Sizes of 10 sec recording each: Standard: Small (320x240) - Approx. 1 MB Large (800x600) - Around 3 MB Widescreen: 360p - Around 1.5 MB 720p optimized - Close to 3.5 MB 720p - Close to 7.5 MB Motion Sensing Video Recording (only one video quality available): Large (800x600) - Approx. 3.5 MB for a 10 sec video NOTE: I have attached three images with this review to show the focus distance and image sharpness and the highest digital zoom level available on the software. The image of the software window was shot from a distance of under 1 ft which came out blurred. The other two images of a TV set shows the regular distance and 15 steps of digital zoom the software provides. It also shows that the subjects farther than 3 ft appear sharper than those that are not that far. Images shot while a 15W LED over my head illuminated the room. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONS: 1) Cannot set focus. 2) Minimum focus distance for sharp images / videos is over 2 ft, or the resultant images / videos lack sharpness and will get blurred when even closer. Further away you are from the webcam, the better the sharpness gets. 3) No IR. Not suitable for total darkness. Although, the webcam's sensor is quite sensitive to low light, and increasing the monitor / screen brightness helps manage in low light and even in no ambient light situations. 4) If connected to a Laptop, must take extra precaution before moving to a different location while carrying the Laptop, as the webcam simply sits on the display panel and is NOT a clip-on. 5) Face detection could be faster. 6) Webcam software CD / DVD isn't provided in the box. Hence, you will need to download it from Logitech's support website. 7) No strap provided to restrict the USB cable's usable length. It can be too lengthy sometimes depending on where we use the webcam. It won't disappoint you if your priority is its image / video quality. Just so you know, this is NOT a 1080p webcam as advertised by Amazon.

best webcam for streaming and gaming or you can even use this on meetings also currently i am using it to make yt videos and the quality is nice as expected 30 fps is decent. the camera angle is also good it can cover almost everything in the background that you want to capture behind you the brightness of camera video and photo is also decent but if you face problem with that hust use 1 more light for it

Easy to use, plug and play and good picture quality. Do note that this is not one of those newer wide angle cameras which pan the image backwards, you will have to move your webcam or screen farther if you don't want your face to be too big on the screen. Received this in an opened box (meaning its a returned product) and there was dust on the webcam and the box when I received it. Sellers should list items as unboxed and refurbished if they are selling an unboxed product. Be transparent about what you are offering. I tried returning it but I couldn't, I just got options to troubleshoot with Logi.

Logitech C270 is a budget friendly and quality webcam. Its plug and play and works well on my Ubuntu Linux desktop OS though it is compatible with Win 7 or higher, macOS 10.10 or higher and notebooks running Chrome OS Its 720p resolution is ideal for videocalls on skype, zoom, Teams, Bluejeans and Google meet. With auto light correction, It provides decent video quality in low light (not very low light) and very good quality and sharpness in bright ligh specially if Iight source is in front. Camera captures sufficient width like it can capture your entire wall behind, its doesn't provide a wide view which of course is not required in one to one or one to many video calls. Logitech C270 webcam comes with mic which captures clear audio, thanks to noice cancellation ability of its mic. If you can attach a speaker with your pc then you can actually get rid of those wired or wireless headphones and from the pressure they put on your ears after longer calls. Using its clip style foldable stand, you can easily mount it both your laptop screen and computer monitor as well as flat surfaces when you fold the stand. Connecting cable is ok length if you are not placing your camera far from your PC. C270 webcam doesn't rotate but in case you want to rotate it, then you can do so by placing it on flat surface and you can rotate it. It's important to mention that your PC speed can also influence the quality of your webcam, such as speed (frames per second) and picture quality to some extent. This Logitech c270 webcam is the best choice under the budget for 2000 rupees. The webcam comes with 720 pixel picture quality without autofocus camera mode which means you won't be able to zoom or focus on the object. The brand itself never said that you can zoom or autofocus but the awesome thing is 720 pixel is really sharpen then I expect. Let's see what I liked and what I didn't about this Webcam 1. Plug N Play: this is a USB type webcam. There is no need to download or install any additional software to run this in your device. Just simply plug this into your desktop or laptop. And It's ready to use. 2. Clear Picture Quality: Under 2000rs for a webcam is not a huge amount. you can't even expect high quality 1080p pixels at the price range. but I was surprised to see the 720 pixel quality which is absolutely enough for office, school, colleges, or video conference. 3. Mic Sensitivity: the webcam as an inbuilt microphone so you don't need to have an external microphone. If you are using this free your office or school then it's enough. But if you want more professional sounding then you can go for an external mic too. 4. Additional Color, Contrast: when you plug this to your device it will start with some preset or default settings. Some people might like the default settings and some not. But thankfully there is a software for the same webcam that allows you to adjust contrast brightness and colour saturation. Go to Google and search for "logitech c270 webcam software". Things you might not like- 1. Autofocus: This webcam don't have autofocus mode, so sometimes you might face problem while showing something on camera. Especially in a closer look. 2. Noise gain: The mic gain is way high. So there is background noise problem also. 3. Not for Full Screen: I mean don't use this webcam for professional uses such as video recording or YouTube videos. (Any streamer looking for this webcam go for it. you can use this while gaming live on YouTube, Twitch or any other streaming platform) Overall this Logitech c270 webcam is perfect for the daily users. especially if you are a teacher, student, college person, office person, or even a normal user who is looking for a webcam for regular online zoom or for Google meet meetings.
