I have hypothyroid and fibro, my daughter is also beginning to have the same complications. we have only been taking this product for 4 days and can feel the results already! the first dose upped our energy and each morning we take it we can feel the "fog" lift faster than it ever has before :) I suspend 3 drops into a small flavored beverage (juice) 3x daily, the flavor makes the iodine taste unnoticeable! love the fact that this is made in america and sourced from deep in the earth and contains no potassium iodine! quality and origin make or break a suppliment as far as I am concerned... this company has gone above and beyond to ensure quality, potency, and bioavailability :) I will be updating this review as i see more improvement and will give the lab results when I go back to have my thyroid tested again. *update* 8-17-16 still taking the iodine, taking 3 drops 3 times daily :) also added the "thyroid edge" product 3 drops a day. my daughter has noticed that her cycles have become more regular and less painful. also a marked decrease in night sweats! haven't had the time for a re-test yet on the thyroid pannel but the difference is so noticeable that I would be shocked if it didn't show in blood work

Only second day but I think this will be life changing. I haven't felt this good in decades and doctors unfortunately were of no help. I'm beyond ecstatic that I found this product after stumbling across the iodine deficiency crisis on youtube. I started off with Lugol's but felt terrible from taking it. I'm glad I looked for an alternative to Lugol's and didn't give up. Truly miraculous for energy, well being/positive mood, memory and cognitive thinking. I feel completely calm and I've always been anxious. I feel for the first time like nothing can phase me. All of those I lacked just two days ago. My daughter's acne has already started to clear. It was improved immediately by the next day after only one dose. So I've been giving it to her orally and also on her face after washing. I don't often write reviews but I felt compelled to for such an excellent product. Please never change your product!!!! Take in the AM on an empty stomach or you will be up all night. Works best when taken with 200 mcg selenium. Also a good idea to take vitamin C, E, zinc and magnesium to support your detox pathways as iodine flushes bad halogens that shouldn't be there.

I was waiting to review until I had finished a whole bottle. I can't say it's been a miracle worker like others but it has had some benefits. First I have to say that I exercise, eat healthy and even juice everyday so this is just one of many things I use to feel better. I did the iodine patch test and it disappeared in less than 30 minutes, I thought it was a fluke so I did it again, gone again in less than 30 minutes. Now I am really curious so I try it on my husband and son, they wake up the next morning with the patch still present! Here I am, one bottle (two months later) and I did the patch test and it took almost 7 hours to disappear. I guess my body is slowly getting saturated. What do I think this has done so far...well my hair has stopped falling out in handfuls, in fact I have so many new hairs I can't get them to lay flat. My nails are strong, they used to be flaky and peel, now I can even grow them out. I am sleeping better since I added this to my daily routine as well. I am taking four drops in the morning, four drops after lunch and also supplementing extra selenium, zinc and magnesium. I am on my second bottle and will continue to use this product.

This iodine has changed my life!! About 4 years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, not severe enough that it shut down, but it explained why I was tired, sluggish, didn't want to do anything, or didn't want to get out of bed every day. Be advised, that many of these symptoms mimic depression, but the above problems can cause it as well. I started taking sea kelp capsules with 480mcg of iodine and my thyroid levels went back to low-normal, I felt better and my life was getting back to being active. Within four years, I noticed I was tired and sluggishness again, and a friend I met told me to try liquid iodine (he didn't mention a specific brand). I then realized the doses were 3-5 more than what I was currently taking. I ordered this product, and started out with 4 drops (approx 1800mcg), and in recommendation from other reviews, I increased my L-Tyrosine from 500mg to 1000mg daily (helps with hypothyroidism). I also increased taking 5 HTP from once in the day, to a second one about an hour before I go to bed. The results in less than a week has changed my life. I started working since I was 12, and spent an entire career in the Military, so I am very versed at hard work, being active, and staying healthy, especially at age 50 now. What ever the combination or how these aminos/supplements work on the body, and the brain, I am a new man! I would love feed back from a bio chemist or some kind of neurologist to explain it. I was never in my entire life a morning person, but this stuff has me waking up feeling so good, I had no idea morning people had it so great. If I only had known of these products in my 30s. I have learned in my life, the quacks I had to deal with are useless, unless for some reason you happen to have one that cares, is knowledgeable, and doesn't try to push big pharma drugs on you. Anything they don't know, or how to deal with, they try to shove you off to a shrink, who only wants to give you xanax type benzoids, opioids, or SSRIs. Any quack I met knows nothing of nutrition. It's not a wonder why most Americans now are not only overweight, but obese. I am trite about it, because they have no clue how I figured out iodine normalized my thyroid levels. They were all eager to put me on drugs to shut off my thyroid completely though. I don't know how this product compares to other brands, but what I do know, I won't be buying powdered capsules anymore. I can't speak for all people with thyroid problems, however these drops and my above mentioned supplements has made me a better, healthier, happier, more productive man. I think better, feel better, and emotionally balanced now too. For the first time when I am alone now, I don't have that feeling of being lost, lonely, anxious, or sad, like I have ever since I was a kid. I am in awe of all these wonderful changes that is beyond joyous. I can sleep at night now too! I am not paid, or was given free products, or affiliated with the vendor or company in anyway.

I waited to review this until I'd taken it for a year and gone to the GYN who orders my mammograms. My reason for taking the iodine is to reduce the fibroid tissue in my boobs. For some time I've had to go get the more expensive, time consuming mammograms but after a year of just 6 drops a day, I am happy to report she is sending me for the screening version that is covered by insurance instead of the budget-busting diagnostic version, on which they never find anything, just that I have denser more fibrous tissue. Please note I have absolutely no reason to believe there is anything wrong with my boobs and I'm not taking this to cure anything. Only to reduce the impact of the denser more fibrous tissue so that I don't have to pay for the expensive scans that I apparently don't even need. I am completely satisfied with this product! I don't feel any different when taking it but it has delivered the result I was seeking. I assume this means I was deficient in this nutrient and now am not, but this makes so much sense to me with nutrient depletion in the soils, etc. Even if you eat well, you may not get exactly what your body was built to need. I also appreciate that they make this non-alcohol version. Iodine is vile enough without alcohol taste in it, I just put the 6 drops under my tongue then drink some water, then brush my teeth. ETA: After the first year, I did reduce the dose to two drops a day, as a maintenance dose. I'm a little concerned about taking too much for too long; but no side effects and no change in thyroid levels in the annual labwork, nothing got out of whack from the 6 drops a day for a year, and it worked.

This is the most amazing supplement I have ever used. I have always been a very high energy person, worked out all my life and, until about a decade ago, things were great. Then I started feeling tired and not well in general. I was unable to cope with stress like I could before. I did some research and decided it was a combination of adrenal fatigue and the lack of real nutrients in food that were the problem. I have tried EVERYTHING and continued my research until finally discovering that most of us are iodine deficient. At first I tried Lugol's, and it did help, but I got the detox headaches even with salt loading. Then I stumbled across the nascent Iodine and the difference was astounding. My energy levels are through the roof, the headaches are gone, my workouts are better and I just feel much better in general. My husband calls it "wake up juice", I mix a dropper (more than recommended amount) in a few ounces of distilled water and bring it to him in the morning right before he gets up. We also are now giving it to our 10 year old German Shepherd and it has given him a new lease on life. He was becoming lethargic and sleeping most of the time. Some days I'd swear he's 6 instead of 10. I highly recommend this product to everyone, I will not be without it. My only complaint is that they do not offer it in a larger bottle. We go through quite a bit since we take a whole dropper, but it's worth every cent.

I was UNplesantly surprised that this product contains a sugar alcohol called vegetable glycerine. I do not know what type of glycerine it is, vegetable, coconut, palm or mixed. If you are on a diet that limits your sugar intake then you may want to reconsider this product, perhaps it will not bother you if you take it. I could, however taste the sweetness it in, so I am tempted to say that this product is MOSTLY of some sort of sugar alcohol. Sadly, most liquid products on the market these days seem to have some sort of sugar in it for whatever reason, I'm not a chemist. The liquid of this item is dark, and has a sweet taste and has a thick viscosity a little thinner than vegetable oil. Contains 2694mg as nascent iodine (per serving). Other Ingredients:USP-grade Kosher Certified vegetable glycerine, purified Water. Three stars: arrived quickly, nicely packaged, appears to be the same product as was ordered, dark color, good dropper, seems to be a good product, contains sugar alcohol.
