What a godsend
Bought this to tune several guitars and a bass. Saves me loads of time and works with acoustic as well as electric instruments.Costs a few quid, but worth every penny to me!

I should have purchased this sooner!
Absolutely great! Tunes all my stringed instruments quickly. Bought to tune my p bass and overjoyed it tunes everything.

Wow!!
I was very sceptical about this...the advertising made it sound too good to be true and I fully expected to be returning it in the next post. A few years ago Gibson introduced 'Robo-Tuners' which claimed to tune your guitar automatically, but didn't last long...it may have been due to price, performance or a combination of the two.I have six guitars, four of which are basses, and the Roadie Bass 2 makes tuning an absolute breeze. It's a bit like a stringwinder with brains. It can even be set to use other tunings other than EADGBE such as dropped D, and it does it all so quickly. An absolute necessity for the guitar case.

Great device!!
Amazing device and accurate. Make sure you hold it tight when tuning as the torque can swing it out of your hand, otherwise a wonderful invention.

Great if you'll get the use from it/have a lot of guitars
Bought as a gift for the other half, he always has a gizmo to tune and this is the easiest (laziest) to use. Its simple, quiet, accurate and the battery last ages (6 months and still going! )

6 strings good; 4 strings bad (12 strings even better)
This is a cool gadget, and a great idea. Unfortunately it doesn't quite cut it as a bass-guitar tuner. The device relies on measuring the string vibrations through the neck and tuning pegs. Alas, like many tuners, it struggles to pick up the low frequencies of the bottom E string on a four string bass. So it can take several attempts, striking the E string with a pick, to get the Roadie to detect the note and adjust the string. And even when it does tune this string, I'm finding that it tunes it noticeably flat compared to the other tuners I have. It deals with the other three strings much more readily. Despite these problems I'm not giving up on the Roadie because I'm finding it very good for tuning 6 string guitars. As you might expect, it is happiest with acoustics and quickly tunes a six-string to a high degree of accuracy. It copes with a six-string electric also, although there is occasionally a hesitation with the low E string. The best bit, however, came when I tried it on a 12 string acoustic. This is normally an absolute pain to tune, but the Roadie had it tuned in seconds and sounding better than I have ever heard it. So a qualified recommendation. It needs further development before it's a bass tuner of choice, but for acoustic instruments - particularly multi-stringed ones, it's a must have.

Absolutely brilliant
I could not be happier with my Roadie Bass. I play a lot of different string instruments as do my kids. It has so far performed perfectly with all of the following:4 Acoustic Steel String guitars (one left-handed)3 Electric Guitars (one left-handed)3 Classical guitars (Full size, half size quarter size)12-String AcousticConcert Ukulele2 Tenor Ukuleles (one left-handed)Mandolin5-string BanjoPiccolo Steel String Guitar (used the capo function)Octave Mandolin (Created a custom tuning for this)4-String Acoustic BassCurrently about to try a custom tuning for my Seagull Merlin.Best thing I bought in years.

The media could not be loaded.

Tunes my bass guitar, but can't tune my guitars
Works well when tuning my bass but cannot successfully tune any of my electric or acoustic guitars. The string winder functionality is great when changing strings and saves plenty of time. For those that do use this tuner with its accompanying app, the Bluetooth on the Roadie bass is very flaky and constantly disconnects. Fortunately, you don’t need to use it with the app and can use it totally standalone. In my opinion, this does have issues which make it too pricy for what it does so while I am keeping it for my bass, I wouldn’t recommend it to others as it can’t tune guitars. If it can’t tune guitars, I suspect it wouldn’t do smaller instruments like banjos or ukuleles, which is a shame because it would be good if it could tune all string instruments.
