Perfect for DofE expeditions!
Great little product, it’s really handy to have a water filtration device that is small, compact and lightweight. The clip and soft cover are useful, and it comes with 2 bottles which is great - the only downfall is that I would have liked a second lid for the other bottle. That said, this piece of kit is the right size for adventurous activities such as hiking, trail running, cycling etc as it is so lightweight and allows you to be able to access clean drinking water on the go. I think this is really an ideal addition for young people undertaking their DofE - it’s a perfect piece of kit for wild camping trips in the Lake District. I’m pleased to have added this to my kit - quite fancy the hard bottle too now!

Cool product, just needs some improvement
I bought it as I like wild-camping and hiking, so I was searching for something what would allow me to drink water I find in the forests. The good part of this product is its useful clip at the top, so you can hang it on your belt and drink as often as you want. Also, the water does not drip out of the top. The quality of the filter is good; however, it always leaves a specific taste in the water, but that was not a big problem for me. It is stronger in the beginning, later it fades away. The taste of water does not change if you leave the bottle on a sunny spot for a longer time, so there should be no problem when hiking during sunny days. There are two plastic bottles provided, one with a special covering which keeps the water cool. The main drawback for me was lack of a second bottle top so you could carry two bottles of water and filter just one of them when needed. It is not a big deal in general, but it would be more useful to have it. However, I talked with the company and it seems that they will introduce an additional bottle top. In overall, I liked the product a lot.

Excellent product!
I love this product! It is very versatile and can fold it when empty. It also fits with my backpack as I'm always looking for space saving techniques and I cannot wait to try it on my next trip. The water bottle feels lightweight when full and the spout where you drink water from, closes tightly ,so no issues with leaks. I have used this with tap water and it tastes clean and pure and not a strange taste which you sometimes get when you use new products. There is a spare pouch which is great but it should have a lid so as to give the water bottle more added value. Overall, It is an excellent product and would highly reccomend it .

Very fragile
Fantastic idea and very handy... But very fragile dropped them both when they were full of water and the bottle shattered. Filter was excellent, rolled up nicely and being able to squeeze the water through the filter made drinking from them easy. No leaks when they were done up either. I really liked them up until they broke, functionally do the job but if you're not keeping them inside your bag just not quite robust enough.

Not the biggest or most durable
Used this several times now, and while having 2 bottles is useful, each one only holds 400ml before the filter, and around 350ml with the filter attached. This makes refilling a 500ml water bottle from a water source quite a time consuming process. The carabiners on the bottles are also very flimsy, both of mine broke over a 4 day hike, and one of the bottles started to leak. That said, the filter itself works really well. If you're not planning to use it often/just for emergencies it's probably more suited to that than heavy use.

Very happy customer. Travelling anxieties have disappeared!
Now, I took a bit of a leap of faith with this product, as I have found that many of the alternatives feel cheap and don't do the job while travelling to poorer countries, where the water is incredibly dirty. So I took the plunge and paid a little extra... I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The filter feels sturdy, the bags seem strong enough (and are double layered) to withstand a good amount of wear, and the filter screws on tight enough to prevent any and all spillage, even when squeezing the bag (just ensure the cap is on tightly!). In terms of filtration, it honestly dwarfs any of the other products I have tried, in terms of quality. I've experimented with dirtier and dirtier water, yet every time it comes out clear and tasting the same as any other filtered water. Naturally, I can't confirm the 1,000 litre claim yet, but I will update this review when it reaches the end of its life. I don't like giving reviews with no sort of criticism, but this product is perfect and will travel with me at all times, when camping or going abroad. I am incredibly happy with it.

Pouches broke but still an excellent product.
I purchased my Waterwell bottle for a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. It was an excellent purchase, as it saved me from buying bottles of water. What was particularly good was the fact that the bottle is squeezable, as you can pour water into another bottle, as with the bottle being 750ml, in a hot climate, you will always need more. Sadly, the first pouch seemed to be pierced when I first received it, and the second pouch broke within a week, despite using it in accordance with the instructions that came with the bottle. However, I taped over the hole with insulating tape and it survived the rest of the trip with no leeks and no problems. Even though my pouches broke, I would still highly recommend this product. It is excellent and means you can drink pretty much any water safely - I wasn’t ill once on my three week trip and filled up in bathroom sinks, outdoor taps and more. Also, when swimming in Vietnam and Cambodia the amount of plastic bottles in the sea was disgusting, so it’s nice not to contribute to the litter by refilling when you can.

This bottle is exactly what I needed. I am going on a big trip overseas and needed something reliable and luggage friendly to take for water. I’ll be camping in different spots throughout New Zealand and want to make sure I have a backup water supply. I thought about getting one of those filter straws, but the WaterWell is a step above because you can bring water with you away from the source. The Whole Lot is Luggage Friendly I can fold up both pouches (yes…it comes with two) along with the filter and mouthpiece to fit it in a tiny side pocket of my suitcase. I can also take it through security to use it at the airport so that I don’t have to spend $5 on a bottle of water and create waste from a single-use container. This Thing is Well Made The bottle comes with a handy spare water pouch and an insulated pouch cover to protect the pouch itself. Everything can be taken apart and cleaned so easily too. I have carried the bottle around in my bag, full of water to and from work, being bumped on a crowded train and tossed around at the airport and not one drop spilled. It Gives Peace of Mind Knowing that I will be hiking, camping and dining in a new place without any experience with local water is scary. Having the WaterWell to give me a little extra confidence to drink from the tap (or from a river or lake if necessary) is something you don’t know you want until you have it. The only issue I had was getting the lid back on to the pouch the first time I filled it. I didn’t pay attention to where the threads lined up. Once I realized you had to line them up, I haven’t had an issue since. I’m pretty sure that’s what helps the seal stay tight anyway so I don’t mind. I honestly don’t think I’ll travel without this thing.

This is a useful filter bottle, small and lightweight to carry so perfect for hiking. Also came with spare pouch/bottle for collecting extra water for filtering later. I haven't had a chance to try it with untreated natural water yet but am excited to try it soon.
