The Art and Making of Arcane (Gaming)

soo cool! this book was worth every penny, it shows the making of arcane, concept arts, and a bunch of sketches. there’s also 5 different inserts that i hung up including jinx’s missing poster! i’m obsessed with this book it’s so well made, amazing quality, very heavy and big and just incredible. i love the show and i love it even more now. if ur thinking about buying this get it now!!

There aren't enough words to describe how fantastic and gorgeous this book is. I'd been eyeing it for a while, and when I saw it was on sale, my heart leapt. I haven't had time to thoroughly go through the text, though I can tell it's very detailed and shows a fascinating look at behind the scenes. The quality of the art within this book cannot be understated, and I absolutely love the two-page and four-page spreads of landscapes from the show. I also missed the extras in the product information, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find loose pages of hextech blueprints, Jinx's wanted poster, Vander's letter to Silco, a paint stencil for Jinx's monkey bomb sigil, and a map of Piltover!!! I wish we could also see a map of just the undercity, but I'm very happy at least seeing where Zaun is in relation to Piltover. My favorite page so far is the disc concept art, including the famous timebomb fairies that look inspired by Stromae and Pomme, the musicians featured in the timebomb episode.Also, the bottom-right corner of the dust jacket was damaged during shipping, though that feels more to do with handling during shipping. It came wrapped in clear plastic and encased within bubble wrap, so perhaps when it was wrapped for shipping, the corner was bent and it simply stayed that way until delivery.Anyways, it's a minor detail and I don't mind it too much personally. THE ART IS SO BEAUTIFUL! And the pink ribbon for a bookmark was very clever and will be helpful as I read.

Oh my god this is the most beautiful artbook ever. It’s so smooth and HUGEEE I didn’t think it would be that big? Comes with small posters hidden in a few chapters and has a protective cover on it that you can take off but I HIGHLY advise to keep it on.

Excellent quality of an artbook- it should set a new standard. A lot of goodies inside, really fun design. Couldn't recommend enough for both fans of the show and people who appreciate good bookmaking.

I rarely if ever leave reviews. The Art and Making of Arcane book is an exception. The love and thought that has been put into this book is immaculate. I just thought I was getting an art book but this thing is an experience. Unbelievable value for what you are paying. The attention to detail on every page and the pages being thick and matted so no reflections take away from the amazing art on every single page. There is a weight to them and slight texture that is wonderful to feel. Little goodies are hidden throughout like blueprints, a map, Jinx wanted poster, etc… I love reading through the history and timelines of how Arcane was brought up and created. This is more than just an art book. It’s a narrative story and a behind the scenes look in the creation of one of the greatest animated shows of all time. Do not sleep on this book!

This art book is perfect for any Arcane fans! It's larger than any other normal book it's 13 inches (33 cm) by 9.5 inches (24 cm), It's very heavy and thick, over 200+ pages full with screen grabs, concept art, bts, and text about what the team was trying to create and convey in the show. It has a very unique cover, it's a hot pink soft plastic vinyl with the cover print on it. But it's also translucent and shows Jinx on the hard cover of the book!This book has so much information about the behind the scenes process and ideas and concept art for the show. I spent days looking through every page when I first bought this and now a few months later I still find myself going through the book just to admire the art.I recommend this for any new or old fans of Arcane, since it also includes a few extra loose pages like Zander's letter to Silco, or Jinx's wanted poster and even some hex-tech blue prints. These extra little goodies could be hung up on the wall or kept in the book itself or even used for scrapbooking! I'd also recommend this book for artists cosplayers or collectors, artists can use this a reference in terms of style studies or to see the creative process, cosplayers can use this as extra reference while making the costume or prop designs. And this is just an amazing piece to have in a collection for the art book collectors out there.
