This should be a 5 star guitar, but the one I got isn't. Please read my review.
Ultimately I believe this specific item that I received is a B - Stock guitar. This should be a 5 star guitar, but the guitar that I received is not worthy of that for the following reasons.1. There are some rough patches and pits in the wood that should have been sanded out. There is an inconsistency with the quality of this guitar in this area.2. Some of the frets are rough on the edges. A guitar in this price point and caliber should not have this issue.3. over all there are a number of quality control issues regarding the construction of this guitar. Schecter should have done a better job with this. Also the seller should have done a better job of inspecting.I had high hopes for this guitar but it fell short for me. There are better guitars in a lower price point.(I have been playing and working on guitars for over 20 years, this is guitar should have never passed inspection in my opinion. )

Another great Schecter product!
First off, I have been playing schecter since 2005. I currently own a Hellraiser, JL-7, Banshee Elite 7 FR-S, and a stiletto studio 5ff Bass, and now this beauty. So this was totally a drunken impulse buy, but I had been looking at it for awhile, hoping maybe someday I would see it in a different finish, but to no avail, I bought one anyway. Let's start off by saying that this definitely exceeded my expectations. Another quality schecter product! The build quality is incredible, the flamed maple top, the 7 piece maple/walnut/padauk neck, the locking tuners, the ebony fretboard, everything is amazing. The neck feels similar to my kiesel 8-string, and the Fishman fluence modern pickups are wonderful. I've only had it a few days, but I love it, the look, the feel, the sound. If you're a modern metal guitarist, take a look at this beautiful instrument.

A step UP for Schecter.
This guitar is amazing. Fishman Fluence modern pickups are so articulate and balanced. I own a few other high end Schecter guitars, but I cant put this one down.

Awesome guitar. My new daily instrument.
My first seven string guitar and I’m super happy. It looks great, sounds great, plays great. I’m going to nitpick a couple things but they arent showstoppers. The Fishman pickups are super sensitive which can be unforgiving for sloppy technique. They are such high output that I find my self turning the volume knob back a quarter turn to reduce overtones and tighten up the sound a bit. They sound very good once dialed in. I’m very impressed! They are very good metal pickups. These pickups also have a pretty nice clean sound too. Using the push/pull pots can give it more of a silent single coil tone.Tuners work well and I like the thicker knob for locking the strings.Hipshot bridge feels nice while palm muting and is super easy to adjust.I wish they did a better job on the grommets for the string through design. They are not very even. Some protrude and some are slightly countersunk.Wiring on the inside is nice and tidy but you’ll notice a bunch of extra wires needed for the push pull feature. Not a con it’s still a good job but a lot to take in if you want to mod anything. The top looks awesome with the gloss finish.Binding is flawless. The backside and neck are all finished with a thin coat or matte polyurethane finish which feels nice. You can still feel the grain in the wood. The paduak has a very large grain size and it might feel like it’s scratched in some spots but it’s just the natural property of the wood.Beware that finding replacement strings can be a bit of a pain. Schecter’s R&D decided to use Slinky hybrids and added a .062 to the set separately for the low B, so there is no commercially available set of 7 string packs available. Now for the multiscale frets... There’s lots of misconception with why they are designed this way. It does NOT help with intonation nor does is really help with ergonomics. You’ll adapt to the feel of them in about 20 minutes and after playing for hours you won’t feel any less fatigue than normal frets. The multiscale design is all about getting the proper string tension. Tuning down a normal 6 string to B standard or even drop A will result in loose string tension. Playing with loose string tension makes the strings slap against open frets and it creates some buzz. The longer scale length helps increase the string tension and eliminates buzzing on open frets which makes it sounds way tighter especially in drop tunings. Notice how baritone guitars and bass guitars have longer necks? All done for proper tension. Notice the shape of a grand piano or a harp? The elongated portions are for the lower notes with longer strings to achieve the proper sound. So the low B has a longer scale length to get the tighter bass notes but the high E is normal 25.5” scale to keep the high notes easier to bend while soloing (less tension).
