Light Bulb Starter Replacement for Flowtron BK-15, BK-15D, BK-40,BK-80,MC9000 FC7600, BF-150,Compatible with 531-9340

I was a little nervous when I opened the package and there was only one little box inside. I thought I only got one igniter. But inside the box were four igniters. The BK-80D has two bulbs. One of my bulbs was not lighting up. I swapped around the bulbs to confirm I had a dead bulb and one side of my bug zapper wouldn't light up my good bulb. It is probably not the best idea to pull the bulbs out of the bottom of the unit by the glass bulb part. Because I pulled the glass on the bulb, the glass part of the bulb let go from the plastic housing base where the connectors are because it is an old bulb. It still worked but is not ideal. Don't be lazy, just unscrew the other four screws so you can easily get at the base of the bulbs. Anyway, I bought a new bulb but which worked on one side but not on the other. I bought these igniters to replace the side that wouldn't light up.All you need to do is take off the black plastic top cover (1/4" socket or flat head screw driver) two screws. Look to see which bulb socket corresponds to the bulb that doesn't light up. Using a needle-nose pliers pull out the old wires for the dead igniter. Mine were in there pretty tightly. Be careful not to rip out any other wires that go to other things. Use the needle nose pliers to insert the new igniter wires in the same holes. You will feel the socket grab the end of the wire so you know it is seated. Put the plastic top back on and test. Boom. Fixed. You are a hero.

Starters work great and quickly got my zapper bulbs working again. Will buy again.

I received my order on 8-26-2024. Three of the starters were new but one was a used one with a broken wire. I say used because the ends of the wires were twisted like from a wire nut and more of the wire was exposed on that end. The broken wire is where they come out of the starter bulb. Also where the fine wires are crimped to the heavier wires, the connection is loose.

I added tape to exposed wire to keep from touching. Pulled out old installed new and light came back on. Have extra to save for next time.

I was sent burnt out bulbs and the wiring is extremely weak and low quality. Not happy!
