Great Seller / Lousy Failing Unreliable Pump
Update July 02, 2017:Bought one unit, which didn't last the first year. I would have given five stars to the seller, who responded immediately and sent another unit which performed well for about a year.As of today, only days over two years of service, the third replacement unit has just now quit working!I don't get it - the first unit I owned of this same brand and part number worked for over ten years; the first unit I purchased here to replace it did not last even one year, and now the third replacement unit only lasted about two years... and I am tired of cleaning up the leaked water and the damage. The float / switch which gives power to the pump motor in these units repeatedly FAIL.

KT-15-1UL Hartell Condensation pump
I recently purchased a KT-15-1UL pump from Plumbing Planet, because I was having problems with the one I presently have installed. In the meantime, while waiting for delivery, I e-mailed Plumbing Planet, from whence my present pump was purchased, and sought assistance for my pump problem. Within 24 hours I received a reply for Plumbing Planet Customer Service with several suggestions as to what could be causing my problem and after following their advice my present pump is working properly and I now have a back-up on the way. Bravo Zulu to Amazon for providing access to Plumbing Planet merchandise at a very reasonable price and to Plumbing Planet Customer Service for the prompt solution advice to my problem......Bill Klein

Wow!, so fast and easy - how to cut cut extra holes
My old model was at least 13 years old when it failed. I Googled "KT-15-1UL" and one click later was looking at the exact same pump on Amazon. One click later it was ordered. Two days later it was delivered. Installation was as simple as unscrewing the old one and replacing it with the new one. I could not be more satisfied with this experience. For those that need to drill extra holes for other drain lines, I did not have a hole saw the right size, but did have a blade wood bit that was and this worked fine to cut a nice smooth hole into the top of the box.I was surprised at how much condensate water comes from the gas heater. Our house is about 2800 Sq ft and the temperatrue was in the 30s... this produced about 5 gallons of water a day. Glad the delivery was so fast.

Works, but could need an extra hole for water 'inlet'
I have a 10 yr old furnace in my basement with an older model KTP-15-1UL condensate pump. For a few months I noticed some water would sometimes pool (not a lot, but still) around the furnace area. Noticed too that the old pump no longer activates automatically except when gently kicked on its side. Did my research and read somewhere that KT-15-1UL is the new 'version' and a replacement of my model. Ordered it and when delivered, found that it is not really 100% compatible. This new pump has higher dimensions and just 1 inlet hole. My old one has two, both being used. (I know there is a difference just by looking at the pics, btw). Not a problem, I removed the old pump, punched another hole on the top cover of the new pump, inserted the inlet pipes and the discharge tube to the new pump and voila! Works like a charm.I think I saved at least $200 by not calling a plumber.

Best Condensate Pump For the Money: Original Unit (Same Model) Lasted 17 Years
I purchased this condensate pump because the original pump finally wore out after 17 years. It was installed in 1999 when the house was built. When I replaced the condensate pump, I was amazed to see that the original was the exact same model. The manufacturer's warranty is only one year, but you won't need it. Based on my experience, you can't go wrong with this pump. Don't buy the ones at your local home improvement store. Buy this one and be confident that you'll likely never need to replace it again. The original pump has a low voltage - auxiliary safe switch installed (if it does, you'll see two wires coming out of the housing), so I simply disassembled the old unit, removed the part to which the two wires were attached, and installed it using the original screw in the new pump. It was that easy. I purchased new drain tubing from Amazon and replaced the original tubing. I also purchased a backflow valve, but you don't need one. This pump has a backflow valve installed from the factory. If your existing condensate pumping is not working, check to make sure that there is no build-up of mold or something else blocking the chamber or the float switch. This is an easy repair. In seventeen years, the original did not require any maintenance. Buy this pump with confidence.

KT-15-1UL Hartell Condensate Pump
Bought this pump based on other reviews. Great price. Fast shipping. Easy installation, but does not come with any hose for discharge. Expected longevity is very good,(years) based on other reviews. Other pumps had good warranties, but higher prices. So far, this pump is working as expected. Runs quiet. Pumps with plenty of pressure.I have a 5' vertical lift before hose is angled to a different direction, with a total of 10' of tubing overall. It has no problem with this whatsoever. Very happy with quality and purchase.

Great value, quality
After fruitlessly searching the local big box stores and only finding more expensive, cheaply made (and very poorly rated) Chinese garbage, I ordered this as a direct replacement for the earlier model KT-13-1UL which performed in my home for 25 years as an HVAC condensate pump before finally freezing up. Taking the old unit apart, it was clear that it was of high quality construction (for example has a built in check valve and Stainless steel impeller shaft). This saved me about $25, is better built and only took 3 days to arrive.

fast delivery
This is to replace the pump I had for the furnace. The same pump lasted 15 years, the level contact switch started to hang up. It was a problem with the micro switch, a problem one of the reviewer had also. Since the pump last that long, I replaced with the same model. I now use the old pump as a backup and for parts, if necessary. I hope the new pump can last 15 years also. For clarification., I only use my furnace for the winter months.
