I have just struggled to keep my pond pump from clogging in my pond. I have lots or lilies and there is sludge because of all my pond plants. I have constructed all sorts of boxes with mesh and screens and layers and on and on! Every effort lasted a day at full flow down to clogged in about 2-3 days. This barrier box was fairly easy to assemble. it was a little tough to stretch and pull the bag tight. I understand from my other devices that a bag that is not drum tight will just collapse and stop the flow. So I worked at it and got it done. I completely got rid of all the sponge filters; just left the sponge holders on. Well I'll be!... Its been almost 2 weeks, there is full flow, the box has not collapsed, my pump is fine. Ill update if anything fails but so far this has already saved me time and headaches!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really loved this until it stops working well because the algae grows and fills in the little mesh holes, I was having to brush the sides and top with a gentle brush and rinse it off too often

So far so good. It’s was a little tricky getting our pump in but once we figured it out all was good. Normally I would have had to dismantle the fountain to unclog the intake but it’s been two months and haven’t had to do any of that.

I am just putting a water feature together in my back yard- when I saw this I knew it would work great to house the pump - this should keep it from getting clogged but also will be easier to remove when I need to. Great packaging and instructions too

Great concept but won’t stand upright always falls taking the pump with it

This was the perfect filter for my needs. comes with a small PVC frame you put together. I didn't use it, the water well in my fountain is to small, but the bag works very well alone. Very n easy to clean, Washes out with the hose. Tie it around the filter power cord, easy, and fluff it out in the water. The filter bag has enough body to stay pulled out. Great Value.

Nice pond set up. It was easy to use and priced very well. It is a time saver because it prevents my pump from clogging up. It fits a nice size pump. The container and bag also prevent smaller fish from getting stuck to the pump.
