Daemonolatry Goetia (Goetia Series)

A very good book
It is my understanding that this book is only a few months old (published Feb.10, 2010) -or so I've read under the contents of book description here- and in that small time, I've noticed that the price of this book has been going a few dollars more even when it's being sold by other sellers as 'used' and perhaps that's because this is a very good book. Good as in the quality is in the information rather than it being guilded and typed in the finest of materials and that is saying a lot concerning an already over-researched subject as "The Goetia".Within the last 8 to 10 years almost every individual, Order and denomination of an Order has shared their views on the would-be daemons of Solomonic lore by way of successful approach and this book is no different except it was written by S. Connolly, a woman who, I'm beginning to find, is a very quality-orientated person gifted with the kind of insight, and honesty that speaks for itself which makes it close to unnecessary for her to mention her 25 supposed years of qualifications on the matter. If you didn't know, this woman champions the Modern Daemonolatry/Demonolatry brand/movement and so this book is flavored with such a mind-set but rather than it being scary, sinister or negative, it's actually fair and balanced. The author's even honest about how methodology isn't fool/harm proof as she and a few of her associates had been bitten by the tiger themselves. She also gives a direct and honest warning on how the practice of Daemon summoning must be approached with caution and it would not serve in the best insterest of those suffering from mental/emotional issues. At the end of her opinions, findings and formulas is the list (minus the descriptions and for very good reason) of the spirits along with both traditional and modern (Crowley/Mathers) sigils accompanied with a somewhat different take of each spirits office of power in which the auther will briefly expand on in the following next paragraph.I found it to be a simply read, full of practical information and advice; all of which entices me to try their approach.By saying as much, I will conclude that I have bought books that were way more expensive that weren't nearly as decent as Daemonolatry Goetia . This work seems to be created by a person who's actually sharing something valid rather than someone who's trying to peddle a book on those who don't know any better.Folks, this is a good book to have. Why not buy a copy and judge for yourself.Note: My review is only based on the book itself, not any kind of results stemming from it.

No nonsense update of classic grimoire
This is the Lemegoton, the core of Solomon's magic updated for the busy contemporary chaos magician who just wants to get hold of an entity quick that will do your bidding and go away lol. Seriously it’s the best down and dirty hands-on how-to for the modern daemonologist. Solomons sigils (seals) and descriptions enhanced by the author’s valuable insights into each daemon’s purview, personality, or particular strengths and caveats gleaned from personal experience. Provides the basic instructions for summoning, banishing etc. Should be in every magical library as it’s the antidote to the bombastic Crowley-Mathers translation.

A modern taxonomy of the goetia
This is the daemonolatry version of the goetia with traditional descriptions of the spirits as well as the author’s own descriptions and an explanation of how daemonolatry approaches working with the Goetia. It’s a sort, to the point guide which provides useful suggestions for building a collaborative relationship with the goetia as well as a taxonomy of the spirits that’s more modernized. I appreciated the explanation provided in the book and find it to be a useful guide for doing Goetic workings.

Good Demonolatry inspired Goetic Working of Evocation
Good re-write of the Goetia through the lens of Demonolatry. Definitely not for the beginner. There are creative aspects to this book which make it excellent for those willing to do the work and delve deep into their own personal belief systems to create the most powerful circle and triangle for the demons which are worked with. Other highlights are:An invocation of the 4 Kings to empower the ritual.Personal experiences from the author with each demon.I recommend you get a journal to document your experiences with this book. You'll need it. Consecrate it to Amaymon ;)

My favorite Goetia Book.
I tell ya, this book is probably the best Goetia book out there that I have read so far.I have about 5 books on the Goetia, and I always go back to this one. It was my first, and is my favorite.Connolly has a different approach on invoking the "demons", and isnt the traditional style where Christianity came in and molded it to their beliefs. I dont know if she considers herself a Luciferian, but her views go with the Luciferian thought. Which I like.I have been working with the Goetia for about 5 years now, and have never had a bad experience.Great for beginners, and good for experienced Goetia practitioners as well.If you are new to this, don't be discouraged or scared. Most of these Demons are old ancient gods that have been "demonized" by Christianity. They are like us humans. They have their good traits, and their bad traits. But, just dont piss them off, bc they prob could F you up.

I got it and I was super excited to get it however...
I wish there was a half star option because honestly it's not that big of a deal but I feel I should comment on it. I just got it today, and I'm only on page five of the book and one page already popped out. It wasn't even tied or threaded to the backing. It's no that big of a deal those kinds of things happen! I just have to be mindful of the page!Edit: Jan 25th I've had four pages fall out just flipping through the book. I'm able to recover them and glue them back on but I'm scared I won't be so lucky with other pages later on down the road....

Very helpful
I don't regret buying this one, I like how it doesn't have a description for each Demon's appearance, this way I don't have certain expectations of what I'll receive, but that's just my style. If you want to know how each Demon looks like, then maybe you should better look for another similar book.

Bom
