I purchased this for my daughter's birthday. She really liked it and we enjoyed the butterflies!

My wife makes greeting cards and it’s hard to impress her. I got this for Mother’s Day and she loved it. Her gift fit perfectly. Plenty of flying butterflies.

I found putting together the box a bit difficult. But once it is together getting the butterflies in and closing the box isn't a problem. The butterflies are gorgeous and they fly pretty good. Be sure to open the box on a flat surface with plenty of space around the sides so the butterflies can escape! It is a fun surprise.

Easy assembly, and used multiple time on the birthday i gave them on. My daughter loved it. Only downside is i had to wind butterflies and reset box a half dozen times.

My daughter’s birthday is coming up. She wants to have a butterfly-themed birthday party so this gift box looked like a fun way to add an extra little surprise to her day. I was surprised by how compact everything was. The lid is the only “premade” portion of this in a sense, as the main box is three layers of thick cardstock designed to fall away as you lift the lid. These pieces are fully cut out and include score lines to make it easy to fold. There is a printed design on both sides of the cardstock, both of which are bright colored and cheerful with a good print quality. I found the instructions a little confusing at first but only because at that point, I hadn't noticed the three box pieces were all different sizes. Once I stacked them together it became apparent the largest one should be the outermost layer and the smallest should be the innermost layer. You wind up the butterflies and distribute the confetti in these layers. There is also a strap made from the same cardstock that helps to hold the box together until you’re ready for it to be opened. There are 10 wind-up butterflies, and you get two each of five color/design variations. There’s also a packet of butterfly confetti. Since I won’t be presenting the gift for a while, I decided just to test the effect with one packet of butterflies so I could get a sense of how it works. They were pretty easy to wind up; you can just hold the frame on one end and wind your finger around the other end. I will note that one was stuck to the paper lining when I pulled it out of its pouch. Luckily, it didn’t get damaged when I removed it. The height of the box flaps is barely enough to contain the butterflies. It’s easy to loosen the strap since it’s made up of two pieces that slide into each other, so you can just set the box down and remove it. The effect when I lifted the lid was great, though I did have to push one of the flaps down to fully release a couple. I think that will be less likely to happen once it’s fully loaded with all ten butterflies and the confetti. They flew around to varying degrees, but in all cases it had a gentle effect and I didn’t get the impression that an unsuspecting person could get hurt while opening it. The combination of the movement and the little noise it makes is sure to be startling. This offers a fun twist on the usual gift wrap and is sure to delight the recipient, provided they are not averse to a little jump scare.

My product was really damaged. I did take pictures but did not post because it was my 7 year old's birthday and I didn't care to complain. The butterflies were awesome! Even though the box was crushed, the butterflies were able to be used without it.
