Working like they should

I was impressed taking these blades out of their wrapper, they are a bit thicker than the Dewalt blades I usually buy. Trying to save money like everybody else, I thought I'd give these a chance. The first blade I tried to install on my Dewalt 734 did not fit on the alignment lugs on the planer. A few passes with a file through the alignment hole solved that. Other than that they fit in place. I planed some KD 4/4 cherry down to 3/4, only about 30bf, and the blades are already leaving lines. Okay so they sand right off with 150 paper but these are NEW blades. The machine is not bogging, yet. I also noticed a few waves on the planed surface, The Dewalt 734 does not have a variable speed so I had to run them through again to get rid of those waves. I'm only taking 1/64 at a time, Not working the machine to death. Not sure how long these blades will last. They are inexpensive, so I bought two sets.

No they are not quite as good as the name brand. But they do an excellent job. My logic: Name brand = 1,000 feet of planing @ $60 This brand = 800 feet of planing @ $26 It's simple math. I own a commercial wood shop.
