The New HR Leader's First 100 Days: How To Start Strong, Hit The Ground Running & ACHIEVE SUCCESS FASTER As A New Human Resources Manager, Director or VP Review: Excellent Guide Book To Success - The author Alan Collins has written a thoughtful, no nonsense guide to help you thrive as an new HR leader. Funny, realistic, and straight to the point the examples are applicable to any new HR leader or HR leader restarting their career in a new location. Review: Moving into a new role? Don't start without reading this! - Hands-down, this book prepares you to start your new leadership role. Whether you are a manager, director, or moving into the executive suite, this book is a must. Setting your executive presence and understanding the "unsaid" executive code is your best way to start a new role, and the author lays down the road map. It doesn't matter if you are promoted or starting a role in a new company, the author does an incredible job of providing a simple, step-by-step process that sets you up for success. There are a few books on the market for executive on-boarding, but I found this to be one of the very best. I've been an executive coach for years and assisted people with on-boarding. I've also worked for several Fortune 100s and each time, they (and me!) missed the mark in my on-boarding process. They may be great at leadership development, but what happens when you get the role? You will not be disappointed with the power of the book. It is a simple read, and I admire that the author used everyday language (no vanity!) to set the stage, provide the road map, and ensure your success. It should be a staple in every professional's library. Well done.

Decent book but….
The pages of this book have such a strong odor that I have been getting headaches and having trouble reading more than 10-15 pages in a sitting. Very frustrating since I ordered a new copy. It must have been sitting in a perfume factory SMH

Excellent Resource
I've been in HR for 20 plus years! I am taking on a new executive role at a new organization and wanted a resource to support the development of the boarding plan. This was an excellent resource providing both new and refreshers to get me started. Note: Many of the online resources are not available although it is referenced in the book. I contacted the author as instructed online and he never responded. So there's that!!!

A great step-by-step guideline for HR pros!
This is a fantastic book for those either entering the HR field, those transitioning into a higher position, or for those who are moving to a different company. A step-by-step guideline for what one needs to do and learn in their HR position during their first 100 days—a very crucial, make-or-break period. Get this book, and you won't be disappointed! Collins has other informative books regarding the human resources industry! Check 'em out!

Good info, but needs some editing help!
The book has valuable information, especially for someone just starting out in the HR world, like I will be soon. I even took notes while reading. My biggest problem, from a writer’s standpoint, was the amount of grammatical errors! It’s hard to take a professional book seriously when it’s poorly edited.

Must Read for HR Leaders.

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic read, straightforward easy to follow and common sense advice and top tips to ensure HR pros hit the ground running in their next or new leadership role. I’ve also shared Alan’s suggested approach and plans for first days/weeks with other leaders too, who have found it enormously helpful. Even if you think you’ve ‘been there, done that’ the book is like having your own personal mentor, giving you permission to step away and disconnect from the role and team you’ve just left and focus fully on making the biggest impact and adding value in a new role. Thank you Alan, for sharing your wisdom and your own personal experiences on what works - and what doesn’t - essential for all us HR pros determined to do their best in a new role, for their new team and organisations.

Very simple writing. A lot of the content was common knowledge. I didn’t gather any meaningful information from this book.
