The item was easy to install has a great picture. When I first installed it had a delay before presenting a picture but it works great “mutes” the stereo when you shift it to reverse position to backup. I think it’s a great camera for the $$$

The ACAUTO Tailgate Handle Backup Camera was one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my truck! Installation was straightforward — it replaces the factory tailgate handle and fits perfectly on my Chevy Silverado (2014–2018) with no modifications needed. The camera alignment was spot‑on, and the wiring harness matched my vehicle’s connectors seamlessly. Once installed, the backup image is clear and bright, even in low‑light conditions, which makes parking and reversing so much easier and safer. The wide‑angle view gives great visibility behind the truck, reducing blind spots and giving me a lot more confidence when backing up or hooking up trailers. The build quality feels solid and weather‑resistant, and it integrates nicely with the truck’s look — you’d hardly know it wasn’t OEM. If you’re upgrading your backup camera or adding one to your truck, this is a reliable and well‑made option. Highly recommended!

This camera, because of its higher mounting position, is a much better solution than a license plate level backup camera. The camera's image quality is very good. The length of the cable was way more than I needed for my 2006 2-door, standard cab GMC Sierra with an 8' box. I coiled the excess cable up and cinched the coil up under the box. Pic included. I found cable routing to be fairly simple, except for getting the cable into the cab. My pickup has a rubber grommet in the floor of the cab where the emergency brake cable exits the cab. I cut a slot in the rubber to feed the cable into the cab. When pushing the video connector through this slot, I found it easier and safer to push a short length of 1/2" copper pipe into the rubber grommet slot first. The pipe allows the yellow video connector to easily enter the cab without the risk of breaking its fragile wires. Once the yellow connector and enough cable are inside the cab to reach the radio, pull the pipe into the cab as well and slide it off the cable. I didn't use the copper pipe the first time. As a result, I broke the wires. Lesson learned. Like others, I found the foam adhesive strips on the inside of the tailgate handle bezel to be too thick to allow a flush fit against the tailgate sheet metal. However, I did have some success in flattening the sticky foam by placing a small sheet of plywood of the correct height under the bezel and then resting the tailgate bezel on the plywood. After 24 hours, the bezel gap is gone. Time will tell.

A bit like an aftermarket piece. Had to tap into the old radio camera input behind the radio, and require it to the reverse lights. Overall it was a great buy. This was a great buy for the 2014 Ram. Ram Cam K was what I cut the line and tapped into. Works like a charm. Visibly is good, not great as far as quality of pixels, but overall 8/10 as far as clarity. Durability is great on the handle. The spot where you stick your key to bolt it on was a bit shabby, so soon as it got tight on one side, the bolt stripped. Installation is tech level 3 or somewhat knowledgeable about electronics

DO NOT BUY PRODUCT! Unless you don’t mind the fit. The handle has some push tabs for the bottom to lock in place like the original handle but it dose not stay where it should. Over all product feels sturdy but dose not look the same on the truck. 1,000,000x would not suggest buying

Great picture quality, camera functions just as you would hope. Ease of installation took less time then expected which was a great value for the money. Fits like oem.

Good little backup camera so you don’t back into the trash cans after six or seven brewskies. Fits the tailgate latch on my LMM like a glove, but not OJ’s glove cause that didn’t fit. (Kind of) it did he did it. Easy to install just run a little wire to the cab and connect some things here and there. YouTube it if you can’t figure it out. Now I can take the mirrors off I’ve had it a few months now so not sure on longevity or durability. But so far so good

Poor fitting has a gap around it, one of the clips broke off as soon as I tried to install, had to cut a groove in the remaining clip to get it to lock into tailgate, good picture but it’s backwards anything on the left appears on the right side of the screen and i know its not the head unit as i had another camera hooked up that displays fine
