First thought straight out of the box was the solid feel to the camera, it has a metal housing a feels really good quality. The other thing to mention on appearance, is the size of it. This is quite a large camera and so if looking for a discreet camera people may not notice, this might not be for you. I take it as a positive as I like the cameras to be seen, it’s a deterrent. It’s also larger than the other two PTZ cameras I have from the same company. Set up was pretty easy through the cam hi pro app and once plugged into my router I was able to find the camera straight away and connect to it. I have 3 cameras for this same company now and it’s slightly inconvenient not been able to use the same app that I have my other two cameras in (CamHi) and instead having to use Cam hi Pro. Installation was a breeze as this one is mounted to my garage, so it was just a case of drilling a hole into facia boards large enough to fit the connectors through, pushing the cables through, screwing the camera to the timber boards and then connecting and plugging in the cable on the inside of the garage. Picture quality is great and the PTZ works really well and the clarity when fully zoomed in is amazing. I’ve only had the camera up a few days but when re watching videos I have noticed the picture quality lacks a little when there is someone/something moving and loses definition on the person/thing. (See video). It may be the case that I just have to play around with some of the settings. The night vision also works really well (see picture) I have enabled the human motion detection alarm setting which sends a notification straight though when movement is detected by what it identifies as a human, I may have to adjust sensitivity slightly though as it does pick up and lot of things such as hedges/trees blowing around. Although it was mentioned in the description I was disappointed to learn this doesn’t have auto tracking, one of the other cameras I have from them does have this feature and it’s amazing, considering this camera is £50 more I would expect it to have this feature. All in all I would definitely recommend this camera, there are still a few things I need to work out but I’m confident with altering the settings a little I can have this performing brilliantly.

I've had around 4 or 5 SV3C cameras over the years and when our new stables were built I knew I needed a decent camera. Firstly these are not so much for beginners but for people who use these things to their full capacity. You can connect and set these up without a LAN cable as demonstrated in my video, just be sure to trun off your mobile data to save confusion on the connection. Once configured onto the WiFi or direct connection you can change so many settings, I always set my email forwarding to email me 3 pictures of any movement, that way I always have a copy of the first 3 seconds of whatever is happening. The zoom on this thing is fantastic, not digital but all optical so there is no image quality loss. Inserting a micro SD card means recording can be done without any sort of internet connection, great for when this is set up in an area with dodgy WiFi coverage. You can set areas up for motion detection, human shape detection and also pre-program movement for watching multiple areas. For even more control you can log in to this camera from a web browser and configure so many options and it can use onvif for integration with other CCTV systems. Overall it's easy to set up and has a lot of features for basic use but be aware this is a very advanced camera with a lot of powerful features which would suit a more industrial or professional installation.

An excellent camera! It was straightforward to set up and works very well. The 20x optical zoom, combined with the high resolution, produces excellent quality video from a distance. In case you don't know, digital Zoom is a waste of time, hybrid Zoom is not much better, and optical zoom is the only one that's worth having. The PTZ works flawlessly and, rather than using the keypad, you have more control by stroking the screen image left right up or down. I had a problem when the camera suddenly started Auto tracking, and doing it very badly, but the customer service were very hrlpful and, after a few emails, solved the problem remotely. It would be nice to have a floodlight, but it's a simple matter to put a separate motion sensitive light up. The price compares very favorably with other cameras and I can recommend this one wholeheartedly.

So we'll made. Not huge not small but expected for a ptz WiFi cam. Could not get the qr to find camera but using a net lan cable for setup worked great. There are several issues. 1. Advertises 18x optical.. sadly not. I took screen dumps at 1x and 18x on screen 3mm and 25mm is around 8 to 9 not 18. And the digital at 36x only 34mm so about 11x. I did email support before posting this but no reply ..bit disappointed. As for image quality . Very good. Panning is slowish and set rate but works nicely. 3 modes but cannot turn off the infrared at night. So IF have indoors or just don't want that obvious feature showing ... Not currently an option. But generally for the money it meets my needs tho the zoom statement is in my opinion very misleading UNLESS mine isn't working properly but as stated no reply from support so I'm assuming it's as expected.

This is one sturdy and feature packed camera. I had no problem setting its up via CamHiPro which took all of about 5 minutes. One of the easiest cameras I've set up. The picture quality is fantastic (One of the best I've seen in a while) and the zoom function is very handy whilst retaining clarity. The mounting bracket is very substantial and holds the camera in place even in windy weather. The pan & tilt is very smooth and the night time picture is really clear. The floodlights that you can set to trigger when a human is detected are very handy. It also has a full web interface for those that like to customise functions and the onvif system works seamlessly. Wi-fi detection was also very good and you can also hard wire it via RJ45 connection. The recording function worked very well and I was able to play back recorded footage with ease via the App. You can also adjust bit rate of each stream and frame rate long with the sensitivity of the sensor that switches from day to night mode. Push alarms are also supported and you can set the alarm to record video to a micro SD card. Overall I am very pleased with this camera, it's one of the best ones I've used for a while.

I bought this to replace an old IP camera which had condensation inside the lens, so I wanted to add to my PTZ cameras. I have used SV3C cams before and found them to be good quality and work well, so when I saw this model with a 36x zoom I went for it. It arrived the day after it was ordered and I was surprised at the size of the box, and just as surprised at the size and weight of the actual camera. It is considerably bigger than any other PTZ cameras I use, and the weight suggests a solid metal construction. I really like the fact that the mounting arm can be fitted to the wall without the camera being attached, making installation really good. I use ethernet where possible for my cams, so can't comment on the Wi-Fi capabilities of the unit, but what I can say is that this was one of the easiest cams I have setup in BlueIris, software which I use for all my cams. This camera obviously has good ONVIF capability, and was instantly recognised & setup by BlueIris. The quality of the 4K video is incredible, and I have set it to pan between 3 points every couple of minutes, and it is the most accurate at maintaining consistency of where it points to after each pan of any camera that I have. As I use BlueIris I cannot comment on the CamHi or any other app, but the Chrome/MS Edge browser is great for tweaking the many available settings. All in all a great IP camera, and highly recommended.

The camera was delivered under 24h from the time of the order. It is one of the most robust IP cameras I've come across. It is made of a metal casing, and it definitely feels sturdy. You have the option to connect it via a network cable or via WiFi. Before you install it in its final location, you need to turn it on first and connect to the camera to configure it. For this, you have multiple options. Connect it via the CamHi app by scanning the QR code at the back of the camera or connect it via the traditional ways. It is definitely compatible with Onvif which allows me to connect it to my Synology NAS Surveillance Camera app. The qualify of the picture is really good, the stream is fairly stable in WiFi. I would recommend you connect it via a network cable if you can though for better stability. For me, since I have installed in on an outside wall, all I had to do was drill a small access to allow for the 12V power cable to go through. I have stuck the reset button and the network cable connection inside the casing. There is enough space for this. You are provided with a useful template to make sure you drill the 4 holes for the screws and plugs at the right place. I have installed it in a place which is like a corridor for which the PTZ features are going to be very useful ! I have tried the zoom and it is quite impressive indeed !

SV3C 【20X ZOOM & 5MP】 5MP PTZ Security Camera Outdoor, 20x Optical Zoom CCTV camera. I purchased this ptz camera as it promised great quality video and zoom. The camera really does deliver on both of these. The camera is compatible with 256GB memory cards not 128gb stated in the description. The downsides to the camera are if it rains, when it does rain the rain gets on the Lens of the camera and it makes viewing the camera impossible as all you can see is a blurred image. I got round this problem by making a small hood from a plastic aerosol lid, these keeps the lens totally dry. I found the viewing angle of the camera is quite narrow so depending on where it is installed it may not cover all the area you need it to. The camera has tracking contrary to the description but this is jittery and as shown in the accompanied video if the person being tracked changes direction or moves quickly or walks below or close by the camera then this function does not work. Summing up I have to say I’m quite disappointed with this camera. This is by no means a cheap camera at £169, without my modification it is unusable in the rain. Its narrow field of view covers only half of the area of the faulty camera this is replacing. The tracking function is not reliable which is the whole point of buying a ptz camera. Edit. After now having the camera for some period of time I thought I would update the review. My view of this camera has only changed for the worse. The sound quality is abismal. Talking over the speaker is pointless and the noise of the camera turning makes the video sound like crunching gears. I definitely would not recommend buying this ptz camera, not even for a fraction of the price.
