A bit heavy but very useful for travel
I work for the airlines and also vacation travel a lot. I carry a small pump-style portable espresso maker for work and when we travel since it’s our preferred caffeine medium. Some places don’t have hot water available in the hotel rooms (no tea kettles or just grungy coffee makers) so this is good for that. It would be overkill for just two espressos but we also travel with a couple of vegan backpacker meals on vacation since my wife is allergic to dairy and doesn’t eat meat and it isn’t always easy to find her a decent meal on short notice. She also has some blood sugar / hangry issues so it just makes sense to have a backup plan for her. This is great for those since they require more boiling water. It packs nice and flat with a nice case. It’s a little heavy but for me it’s worth carrying with me. The handle works pretty well and it’s comfortable to pour. The silicone is sturdy enough that it doesn’t feel like it’s going to collapse at any moment and having the option to use other voltages is really nice in other places in the world. It also boils pretty fast

Love it!
2022 UPDATE: Still going strong using this little kettle now that business travel is back up and running post-COVID! I did discover recently though that mine had a slight defect in the base where the handle attaches. I was able to get in touch with the sellers and in no time, the issue was fully resolved. Outstanding customer service!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I travel a lot and can’t believe I didn’t think to find this sooner! Most hotels or rentals have some sort of of tea/coffee setup (questionable quality but generally present); however last year, I found myself in staff housing (similar to an extended stay) for my company overseas in a developing country for 10 days with zero options in my room other than a mini fridge—no microwave, nothing. I was armed with Starbucks VIA and tea and hot cereal packs and other essentials bc I am all about my morning routine to start the day without leaving my room, and nothing to make it with. Fortunately I was able to borrow a kettle from a colleague living there; however, when I found out I was going to a similar place again this year, I went straight to Amazon to find a travel kettle bc I didn’t want to be caught off-guard again.Lemme say, this thing was AWESOME. It traveled super well, took up no space, and was exactly what I needed. It heated water fast, had an auto shut-off that kicked in loooong before the water would boil out, and was a breeze to use. The dual voltage is incredibly convenient too. There were a few other cheaper models available but this was the only one I saw that folded flat, and so I was willing to pay extra for something that packed easier. The case is a durable one and doesn’t add a lot of bulk. I can see myself getting a LOT of use out of it to come—travel, camping, office, you name it.

Great for traveling!
I purchased this because I am an avid coffee drinker and I was going to be traveling to Europe and wanted to ensure I had my morning coffee available each day without having to go out each morning to get one. I used my Bodum French Press mug, ground coffee, and heated up water in this kettle every morning for the two weeks we were in Europe and it was perfect! Didn't take long to heat up water at all and it gets HOT. There is no adjustable temp on this like you would see with a typical electric kettle, but that wasn't something I needed. The only issue I have with the kettle is that it's very difficult to see the fill line on silicone. If it were in a different color than the color of the kettle it would be easier. Very easy to clean and one of the best things is that it's super easy to take apart and put back together and it fits easily in it's hardshell carrying case. My husband was also able to use it for water for his tea. Although I don't use it except for traveling (I use it for any travel I do now, not just to Europe), it is totally worth it and I would highly recommend!

Great for one cup at a time
The media could not be loaded. Works like a charm, I like that the handle comes off and it comes in a travel case. It’s the perfect size for one serving at a time, the only thing I didn’t like was that you have to unplug it every time you want to refill it which is a little inconvenient

Great little pot.
I highly recommend this pot. It takes about 90-120 seconds to boil a full pot of water. The water stays hot after the switch is off, but I did unplug before leaving. So compact and easy to fold up to store.

Great little travel kettle
I got this kettle for work since I'm not always working in the same building and we didn't have a kettle at work. This little pot collapses and comes with a nice hard case for storage including the cord. It's pretty easy to set up and take down although the cord is a bit short. I have also found that the cord is difficult to remove from the pot. This is good because it won't accidentally become dislodged but is also a pain because in order to pour from the pot, I have to either unplug it or hope that I have enough cord to keep it plugged in and pour at the same time. It does have a sensor so if the temperature drops below a certain point, it will automatically start heating again. It says that it can heat milk as well but it burns VERY quickly so I stay away from milk from now on. It's fairly easy to clean since it's silicone so it stretches to accommodate your hand. It does have an odd smell to it like many of the reviews mention. I cleaned it thoroughly several times, cooked in it several times, and it still held the smell. I think my tea had an odd taste for a bit when I first started using it but it quickly went away. I love this little kettle although I might get a regular one that separates from the heating element next time, simply for the convenience. This does pack small enough for me and I will keep using it until it breaks though.

A Gem of an item!
Wow, this is one gem of an item. It is a quality travel kettle. Switching from 110-220V is simply a matter of turning a screw that can be turned with a dime. It boils water so FAST, under 4 minutes! The features are awesome. Auto-off (switch stays, automatic reheating when temperature drops to 75 degrees C. The base is heavy and the design makes it un-tippable. I like that the silicone is not hot to the touch, even when the water is boiling. And it's interesting that you can see the water boiling thru the silicone. The lid is solid and stays on water tight so it won't splash boiling water on your hands or handle. This is compact vertically, only 2". But it is a fair size 6" X 5" (handle adds the inch) round. The case is nice but when it is in the case it is 8" X 2.75". An option is to forgo the case and just wrap it in a towel when you pack.If you can spare the room and weight, it's the one for you!

Really good product. I use it a lot and still love it!
It is very good quality, easy to use, and folds easily. It can also be stored in a very small space. Ten points!

Travel kettle
I love having tea and hotels never have kettles. It is perfect and so compact. Takes no space in my bag.

worked great, was compact, but a little heavy!
brought it on a 1 month trip to europe, saved us a number of times when we just wanted to save money and eat in, or have coffee in the room when staying in budget places. It was not light, but was the best option. It heated water fast, very fast with 220 in europe even with a 110 converter, and cooled down fast enough to not be a nusiance when checking out same morning. wraps up nicely and the travel case has enough room for the cord without struggling to get it to fit.

Very disappointing - don’t buy this kettle!
I was so excited for this kettle! I bought it for a trip so I could make myself tea in my room. The kettle worked well to boil water and packed up nicely in the provided case. It is quite heavy but I was willing to make room for it in my suitcase. I cleaned it a few times before my trip by boiling lemon slices as recommended. When I arrived for my trip, every mug of hot water I poured had a thick layer of goopy white stuff floating on top. I know it wasn’t the water I was using, since all our water was bottled water. I tested the in-room nepresso machine with the same bottled water and there was no white goop so I know it was an issue with the kettle. I think the silicone or whatever material this is made out of is leaching into the water during boiling. I wish I could return it but there is no option for a return on Amazon. An absolute waste of money. I do not recommend this kettle.
