As all BOSS products have been great for me I ordered it sight unseen and had it shipped 1200 miles for me to play an important show two days later. Not only was it fabulous but Im leaving it here and ordering another for my home region. I bought the nice cover and the midi-bluetooth unit as well. Sonic possibilities endless. If you play acoustic guitars or want that famous " Brown Sound" you will get it all in this great product from BOSS! By the way, I played with a 3 piece horn section and 2 keyboard players, guitars and Bass and drums. The KATANA 100 GEN 3 cut through the stage mix and found its own sweet spot. Light to pick up. What more do you need?

The Katana is good. This is my third one. I am a full-time musician, so these amps are used in many venues. My first is an Artist Gen 2 that is now sitting idle. I got it dialed in great, but now No Sound, and no one knows why! I bought a 50-watt Gen3 but realized that it doesn't have all the features I needed, so I got this one. PROBLEM I programmed wah wah - tested it at home for a few days. No problem. Got onstage and -- NO WAH !!!! It has not worked since! I don't have a clue why. These things are inexpensive and sound good but the Katana line can break for no reason!

Great sounds. Easy to set up. You should but the foot switch also

Perfect for my little setup, and good enough to take on a small stage. Ridiculously versatile and far more reliable than a Spark.

This amp was recommended to me and I'm learning how to use it. I also got the Boss GA-FC-EX foot switch. Next is a loop station, maybe an RC-5 or RC-500. I'm learning how to control the noise on some settings and the software on a laptop helps. The 100 has lots of power and I use it mostly on the Half setting. I'm spending time just going through the different amps and effects settings and then I spend time on one amp setting and play some music. You have to be careful when foot switching between amps because some are much louder than others (volume down guitar). Some of the settings get really dirty, I tend to either play clean with some mild effects or play with mild to medium effects and get a little dirty. You can get a lot of distortion with this amp.
