I have a version of this from another manufacturer with a single row of LEDs and wanted to try these for even better lighting. These lights work great, but the motion sensor is momentary, meaning the light is only on if you hold your hand up over the sensor. ...that's just silly. The other ones I have the motion sensor turns the light on with a wave, and it stays one; another wave turns it off. I just don't know who thought a momentary function would be useful to anybody! I just leave the light on using the normal on/off button and never activate the momentary function ...because it is useless.

I purchased this 3 pack LED headlamp set and I’m very happy with the performance. Update 7/24/24: The replacement lamps are charging and working fine so far. Still way too sensitive with the motion sensor. I find that feature unusable. I never did get a response from the manufacturer. Changing review from one star to three. Original review: When I received these, I unboxed and turned one on. It lit up, quite bright, and I cycled through the different light settings. So far so good. I plugged them both in, and the indicator lights turned red. I assumed this meant they were charging - the documentation doesn't say. After a bit, one of them turned green, so I unplugged it. The other was still red, and thinking the first charger may have been better, I unplugged it to move it to the other charger. The indicator light stayed red. I tried to turn on the lights, and nothing happened. Plugged in, unplugged, all switches: no change in the status. Knowing I had at least one defective, I went ahead and used the other one working on the car, and emailed the company (from the documentation) about the defective lamp. The motion sensor on the lamp is waaaay too sensitive. Yes, it turns on and off when you bring your hand near it. It also turns on and off as you move your head around. Or if you just stand still and a shadow changes across the room. Or it turns off and then on before you can bring your hand away. Essentially, the motion feature is pretty useless unless you're going to stand still in a place with no other lighting. Still, it throws a lot of light and is pretty comfortable while wearing it. The next problem was that I plugged in the working lamp after using it, to top off the battery. The light turned red, and stayed red for a few hours. Then, I saw that the light had gone off. (Not turned green like it had earlier.) When I unplugged the lamp, it did not respond to the switches. The charger I used is just a regular cell phone charger I use for my Google Pixel 7. I used the cable that came with the lamp. So I ended up with one dead lamp with a red light shining, and one dead lamp with no lights shining. I had already ordered a replacement based on the first one dying; when I went to process this return, there was a message about not returning defective items with lithium batteries. I contacted Amazon via chat and was told not to worry about that and to return it anyway. So that's what I will do, and I hope the replacement lamps work better. But I am not hopeful. I wish I had waited to re-order until I realized they both were defective. I'll update this review after I spend some time with the replacements.

This 3-pack headlamp set is great! They are super bright and have different brightness settings also with a wide beam that lights up everything perfectly for camping, and my garage projects. The motion sensor is awesome for hands-free use and it’s comfortable to wear. The rechargeable batteries last a long time and come with USB charging cables.

Deserves a negative 5 rating but amazon won’t allow for reality. Use number two and the LEDs are failing. Failures in both the top and bottom rows. DO NOT waste your money. Utter garbage!

Why do I need yet another flashlight? Answer: I don’t, I have a lot of lights already, but all the same, I bought this because, as my brother says, you can’t have too many flashlights. So what is good about it? The front light produces a bright and very broad spread of light. I find this is good around the outside of the car, house or RV at night. Unlike a normal flashlight it has a very wide and even throw of light - not spotlighting one thing, but lighting up everything in front of you. So if you are moving your head to look at this or that, the intensity of light on what you are looking at doesn’t really change that much, and this is good. Also, there isn’t a bright spot in one place and much dimmer patches to the side, the light intensity is evenly spread. The side light, which is a spot light, has a reasonably good range. It is not outstanding, but for the size of the unit it works well. The whole thing is very light on one’s head, so is the most comfortable headlamp I have. I have many headlights and if they are any good they seem to have a lot more weight to them, while this one really does feel light. One of the great advantages is that the weight is to the side, over the ear. So when one nods one’s head it doesn’t move that much; a lot of weight at the back or at the front will be thrown about a lot more with normal head movements. You can easily forget that you are wearing this light. The ‘hands free’ function might be good for some, but I never use it. Then when you are done with it, it takes up only a very small space in one’s pocket. I am glad I bought it.

After a shipping/Delivery hiccup Amazon quickly fixed, I'm happy to say these are the only headlamps I buy. I own several myself and bought some as a gift of which was well received. Battery life is decent, Recharge time also decent & the brightness is perfect. The wide strips are extremely effective. They are light and comfortable as well - to a point you'll forget you're wearing them lol. All round this product is great considering the price point, great bang for your buck

It's very bright. Everything in your field of vision is lit up. As a mechanic its amazing for inspection and repairs. The light isn't as directed so you don't need to turn your head to position the light. Being able to turn the light off with a wave of your hand is amazing if they are dirty. Doesn't accidently trip as I was concerned would be an issue. You don't have to cycle through the settings when doing this to get back to the brightness level you had. Light weight no awkward battery packs or clearance issues with tight spaces. Surface is silicone easy to clean. Comes with a case and usb charge cord. Battery life doesn't feel limited with regular use.

Is a great asset to have on the job, fits very comfortably, but charging takes almost 8hrs to get full charge

The product in overall is good. Easy to use, work great. But beware…it ‘s getting very hot. Enough to be harmful. I can’t understand why LED light get that hot, since LED usually don’t get hot or overheat. I’m thinking about a refund. Anyway, first one lime this for me and it will be my last. As long as the overheat problem will not be resolved, I advise people to be extremely cautious when using it even more if you need to use indoor.
