The item matches the description and functions properly. However, I'm only giving it 3 stars due to inadequate packaging. It was shipped in a thin plastic mailer, and because of the item's weight, the original paper box was completely destroyed. Additionally, the solenoid shaft had come unscrewed and was loose inside the package along with the return spring. This could have been avoided if the item had been shipped in a small box with proper cushioning. I did have initial concerns of functionality.

Bought this to operate a detent lock plate/switch mechanism for a large rotating prop for a marching band. This solenoid is strong enough and has enough travel stroke to get the job done. Worked in my application right out of the box, and the push ping on the back gave me a convenient way of triggering the secondary circuit (in this case, the motor to rotate the prop). Good piece of hardware!
