This is a solid portfolio folder, especially for the price. It is easy to put in/take out pages, but still snug enough fit that the papers don't easily fall out, even if you hold it upside-down.Because it's not a 3-ring binder, the pages do not all lay flat, especially when the folder is closed. I haven't had issues with it permanently affecting the shape of paper, but I think you might want to keep placeholders in empty slots if you want to keep it all a bit smoother.

This Binder is nice because it has so many top-loading pockets! The outer cover/shell is strong, thick and durable to protect the contents. The spine kind of flops over because there are no rings nor a spiral attached to it inside. The pockets are attached directly to the cover's plastic spine seemingly via epoxy or glue. This means that there is no way to add additional pockets later. The clear plastic material that the pockets are made of is extremely lightweight and thin. The positive side of this is that it minimizes the total weight and bulk of the binder. The less positive side is that the pockets are made of such a thin grade of plastic that they have no body and are more prone to creasing. Each pocket is wide and long enough to easily slide 2 sheets of paper in without a struggle. All in all, this binder is a very handy tool for students, musicians, recipes, newspaper clippings, and so many more uses!

This notebook has 60 pages of plastic sleeves that are not bound by a 3-ring binder, but are permanently affixed. The transparent cover and contents are somewhat flimsy. However, it serves the intended purpose. I am using this as a study guide, and it’s a shame that additional pages cannot be added. Personally I prefer a notebook that is hardbound. It does not offer optimal protection, especially if it were used to hold important documents or artwork. It is suitable but not ideal. I like the blue color. Wish the interior had pockets. Limitations: only holds the pages within, very pliable and see-through, no additional pockets.
