Pretty good utility to allow video or pic taking. The Bluetooth to pair with my iPhone was straightforwardWeight did not appear that bad. Did have to pull the upper holder a bit high to fit my iPhone that had its own carry case. Overall not bad and with the Bluetooth connectivity, just push the button on the utility to stop and start so fast speed in picking up action.

Super useful! I used it on a trip with my family and the ease of taking photos was an absolute delight! I ended up being the photographer and it was rlly nice not having my hand cramp up to take photos. It was also very easy to keep the camera stable with this and the fact u could detach the remote was awesome for group shots! 10/10 recommend for your next trip!

I need this smartphone camera grip for our upcoming epic vacation. I have seen enough dropped and broken smartphones that it makes me worry about dropping mine. I am careful but sometimes things happen. I don't want to let a broken smartphone ruin my time.This Ulanzi smartphone camera grip has a strong elastic-tensioned clip that is able to securely hold my Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (with a protective case). I prefer this clip over a magnetic attachment as I am confident the smartphone will not accidentally slip out. The camera grip will make your smartphone slightly heavier and more bulky. That could be a problem if you are used to slipping a smartphone into a tight pocket.Out of the box, pairing the camera grip remote with the smartphone via Bluetooth was simple and easy. The remote is held in place on the camera grip by a magnet and by a couple of indentations on the body of the remote. The indentations keep the remote from sliding off. A negative I found with the Bluetooth is it will disconnect from the smartphone after 5 minutes of inactivity. There is no indication on the camera grip that the Bluetooth has disconnected. You will know when you try to take a photo and nothing happens. To reconnect, you will need to hold down the remote shutter button for about 3 seconds. For this reason, I minus one star.On another similar Ulanzi product, the MA35 camera grip, which I purchased for my wife's iphone, it will go into sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and disconnect after 30 minutes.The camera grip allows me to hold the smartphone and take photos with one hand without worrying about dropping the smartphone.After our trip using the camera grip extensively, I will update this post if I have additional information.

I really found this very handy taking pictures with my iPhone. It has a good grip and you can use either the MagSafe feature or clamp feature to secure the phone. I was using the clamp because I was paranoid since I was taking pictures in a windy area but the magnet seemed pretty secure.For reference I have an iPhone 12 Pro and the case isn’t that big but a larger case might not be able to utilize the clamp feature.The device is rechargeable which is nice and setting it up is pretty easy. The picture is taken almost immediately after you press the button on the handle so no lag. I would definitely get this again and recommend it.

The quility of the build is sturdy and the MagSafe works better than other brands in the price point. Small and compact so it's a small footprint in your bag or can fit in your pocket. The blue tooth button controls the camera functions that allows you to take video or pictures. I bought this to augment my ability to use my phone for inspection photography documentation as part of my job. I used it 4 or 5 times over the course of 1 month taking around 300 photos or more during each session using the bluetooth photo capture button. I tried using it today during my inspection and the bluetooth module would not turn on. I also could not get it to recharge the night before. I suspect the battery has stopped working or malfunctioned, which is unacceptable. The fill light operates and charges separetly. This portion is still working.As a troublshooting note I know that the bluetooth device was never fully depleted since it always automatically turned off after a few minutes of idle time.I wouldn't have minded if I at least got 1 full year of usage or 50 sessions. I don't recommend this product and will look for an alternative brand. It's terrible shame since it had great potential.Also the design would be better if the bluetooth and fill light were integrated into the same battery and power button. It was a pain to need two usb charging cables to charge the light and bluetooth.

Recently tried this phone grip to simulate a smartphone as a point-and-shoot camera. I found that the Bluetooth shutter release had a slight delay, which could cause one to miss critical shots. However, it may perform better for video recording or taking selfies with the rear camera using the removable release. The grip is more comfortable to hold than just the phone and provides a secure grip on the phone. It comes with a spring clamp and a strong magnet to hold the phone in place, along with a metal ring for attaching to the phone body or case if there is no magnetic area on the back of the phone. The small mirror included did not offer a clear image for touch-ups. Overall, for photography enthusiasts, thisgrip may not be ideal.

Honestly one of my favorite purchases I’ve made so far.The grip is comfortable, the detachable remote is a great addition, then the light is great, helps take night shots with flowers to make the colors really pop.
