From puppy to adult to senior and beyond!
I found this brand when I first got my 4 legged son. I wanted the best food I could find because I believe you are what you eat. It is full of nutrition and fresh and without any fillers - we're talking quality and since he's the world to me, I just wanted to give him the best, despite the horrendous price! - should I take a start off for the price? - 1/2 a star perhaps, but the product is excellent. SO, most important point, I have been giving him this food since puppy and he's now 9 years old - that's right, I never moved him from this food, INSTEAD, I just started giving him less once he reached adult status. I mean, why change the food to an adult formula, when the adult formula all it is, is just a watered down version of this food?I don't care what they say about puppy food vs adult food, I've read enough about to come to a personal conclusion that it's a way to make more money. I just give him less of puppy food, yet a GSD that is 9 years old and 100lb is no joke, yet he's all lean and muscle! Also, he still loves it, eats it every day as excited as the first day he tried it. Has perfect, super shiny hair and a wet nose all the time, what else could one want?!

High protein, quality ingredients, your dog is worth it
I think the flavor is something most dogs will like. (but I admit I haven’t tasted it myself so I am guessing :)Our 95lb Doberman just happens to be a finicky eater no matter what food he eats. We rescued him at age one when he was severely underweight, and at that time he would ONLY eat boiled chicken and rice. We suspected he might have a defect in his jaw because he only used his front teeth to eat and chew toys. A quick trip to the vet dentist fconfirmed 2 incisors on his top jaw lines up tip to tip the teeth on his bottom jaw. An extraction resolved the problem but still isn’t a great eater. We switched him to Origen’s puppy food from Orijen’s ”adult“ because he had such a hard time keeping his weight up. He is doing great now!I realize know a lot of pet owners are satisfied feeding their pets dog food from the grocery store but I believe Orijen has an outstanding ingredient list and is one of the highest protein rich dog foods on the market. Our dog has a beautiful coat, bright eyes, and sheds very little hair at all.I expect that our investment in a quality food will improve his health and decrease chronic conditions dogs seem to commonly suffer in their senior years.

Read the ingredients Feeding good large breed puppy food will save from future health problems
If you have a large breed puppy. This is the food for it It is so important to feed large breed puppy food to large breeds. You have to get the calcium phosphorus ratio correct or you could end up having problems in the future. It's expensive but you will never be given that opportunity again to build Your puppy's body. Look at the ingredients.

Expensive but good quality
I really like the ingredients in this food as opposed to most others on the market. My puppy loves it and has had no issue. Durning our first vet visit, they asked what we are feeding her and I showed her and the vet said it looks like she is eating better than we are. It is one of the most expensive kibble type foods out there which, I guess you get what you pay for.

Great Ingredients, a bit pricey.
It's very pricey, but loved the ingredients, packed full of protein. My 12 wk old boxer loves it, so does the adult chihuahua that sneaks bites. I also bought one of the slow feeding dishes sold on Amazon to reduce the chance of bloat, but what I'm finding, much to my dismay, is that my puppy still has a lot of gas. This is uncomfortable to both of us. I'm a getting a 9wk old English Mastiff pup and I'm hoping this food doesn't have the same effect on him. I haven't given up hope because I want to feed them the best ingredients available, but also have to consider my own comfort as well. I'm going to try Probiotics starting tomorrow when they arrive and hope that solves the problem. If anyone has any advice please feel free to comment.

Pricey but....
Pricey but Orijen has a reputation for quality highly-digestible ingredients, strict regulations, and no recalls. Check the ingredients and nutrition against other quality kibbles; Orijen rates number one for this reason. I walked into two major pet supply retailers (yeap) looking for Orijen locally, neither carried it in store, and at BOTH the sales employees raved about Orijen and recommended other retailers to check for possible local stock -- without trying to sell me another kibble that their chain stocked - that says volumes. If price is an issue, it is an option to introduce Orijen in with another quality, less expensive kibble in a ratio that suits your budget. Of course, you can feed your pup Orijen as a small supplemental meal with the bulk of the diet coming from home prepared meals - which is the choice we adhere to. Notably, Orijen is the only kibble that we've purchased that doesn't require coaching a finicky pup into eating; now there's an empty bowl and no more discarding food. Just wish the price was lowered or the volume increased. Alas, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so we'll stick with it.
