Great product! Lots of tips and information
The Sliick DIY Waxing Kit for Women, Hard Wax Beads with Cup and Spatula, Hair Removal Wax - is just as advertised.First, I'd like to mention that I read all the 68 reviews thus far and I do not agree with the negative reviews. I thought this product was amazing!I am also like some of the other reviewers very experienced with waxing products, microwavable, heating in a small pan over a stove and wax strips. I think there are several things that are causing some of the negative reviews, some of which is that the instructions. They don't tell you the wattage of the microwave for the time and that can make a big difference. The directions indicate to microwave at 45 seconds at a time. However, it's going to make a big difference the wattage of your microwave. My microwave is 1,000 watts and to be on the safe side, I microwaved it in 30 second increments three times. It will also depend how many beads you put in. I put in about 100 beads, which was just a little over the bottom of the silicone cup, maybe a half an inch. Better to start with a smaller amount when first starting out so you don't waste the beads.I think this is also important that the third time I microwaved it, half the beads were not fully melted, however, because it was really hot, I took it out of the microwave, stirred it with the silicone spatula and the rest of the beads melted. It's important not to over microwave the wax beads. This is a product that is best to use on your face and underarms. If you use the wax on the whole area of your underarms, it's going to be difficult to have enough time to put it on before it hardens - in 30 to 45 seconds. It would work best if you do a small section at a time. You do want to put it on fairly thick. I then pressed it down, waited about 30 seconds, got a grip on the edge and pulled it off - it worked perfectly everytime! You do want to test it on your hand to make sure it's not too hot. If you go to spread it and it comes right back off, it's just not hot enough. The spatula works very well, but you can also use a popsicle stick or wax sticks that are wider. For the eyebrows a popsicle stick would work better.I needed more wax and it already had hardened in the cup, so I put it back in the microwave in 10 second increments. I would suggest using paper towels under the cup and the area you're working, so if some drips it goes on the towel. To clean the cup you need to make sure it completely hardens. I used the spatula and then I had to pull some out with my hands because I had it all on the side of the cup. I made sure that there was no additional small pieces of wax on the bottom of the cup and the side and I used a warm paper towel. In terms of the microwave, whereas one reviewer said it caught fire. That would only happen if you're not following directions or if you're using a microwave that is a commercial grade. The majority of homes have microwaves from 600 to 1200 watts, commercial microwaves are above that wattage. Most small counter microwaves are 600 to 800 watts. The majority of microwaves that are over a stove that are larger are 1,000 to 1200 watts. If you're using a small amount of beads like I did then you would just have to calculate that with 600 to 800 watts, you would probably have to do four - 30 second increments. It's always best to start with less time and more frequent increments because the next time you'll have a better idea. The beads do have oil in them and if you are prone to acne, I would suggest using a toner afterwards.Overall, I thought this was a great product. It is very convenient, easy to use and I would recommend it to others.

Fast and easy
I'm pleased with the Slick At Home Waxing Kit! The hard wax melts easily, and the applicator makes application simple.Pros: effective hair removal, easy to use, good value.Cons: instructions could be more detailed, wax can be messy.Overall, I recommend this kit for its ease and effectiveness.

microwave waxing kit
I really like this Sliick waxing kit. For me, it's much faster and easier than other options I've tried, like needing a separate slow cooker style wax warmer. I appreciate just being able to zap the hard wax beads in the microwave cup, apply it quickly to small areas like my face, and be done with it. It's definitely meant for those smaller jobs; I don't think you'd have much luck trying to wax larger areas like legs with this setup. You get enough wax in the kit for a few applications, and the microwave container itself can be reused with new wax beads later on. A simple, convenient kit for quick waxing tasks.

Beads melt well, but wax breaks as it hardens and doesn't remove all hair.
As someone who does their own waxing at home and has been doing it for over 15 years, I'm always excited to try new waxing kits and different types of waxes. I'm usually a huge fan of bead wax, as they don't require strips and are usually very effective and with minimal pain, they're also some of the easiest to use, especially for beginners. I hadn't tried microwavable wax beads yet, so I was very excited to give this Sliick At Home Waxing Kit for Women, Pink – Coconut Melon, Hard Wax Kit a go.I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. First, for the positive, I love the presentation, microwavable bowl, and silicone spatula it includes. Still, I found the wax to be average and not all that effective, especially for those of us with coarser hair. While the wax beads do melt nicely and in minimal time, the wax itself breaks as it hardens and only removes about 50% of the hair. I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who has thicker hair or wants to be able to get all of it off in one go.

Great applicator!
I like this kit, mostly for the applicator. I would probably purchase that separately if I could. The coconut melon wax is nice quality and smells like coconut. I have a wax warmer so I don't use the microwave cup, but the cup seems high quality. My favorite is definitely the applicator. since it's silicone, the wax doesn't permanently stick to it and you can continually reuse the applicator. Compared to my wooden wax sticks this is a lot less waste and the stick doesn't get goopy half way thru my wax. I found the silicone stick to work well in spreading the wax, and was able to get the hang of application quickly.

Nice Concept, Doesn't Work
I am a regular at-home waxer and own a wax warmer and plenty of waxes. However, sometimes I just need to quickly wax my upper lip and don't want to wait 20-30 min for my wax to melt, so I wanted to test out this product. For $32, I wasn't expecting superior quality, but I was expecting something to get the job done. The cup is relatively small, so this isn't a product that will work well for large body areas (e.g., legs, arms, etc.). You get a small amount of beads that will likely last you ~10 upper lip waxes. The directions recommend microwaving the beads for 45 min. increments, and it will take about 3-5x to get the beads fully melted.I am not a fan of the spatula that comes with the wax set. The upper portion is very flimsy and makes it difficult to actually apply the product appropriately. The cup is nice- easy to clean and the handle doesn't get too hot in the microwave. I cleaned my upper lip, added powder, and then applied the wax. It removed a few hairs but took 4 tries to get most of the hair out. I had to reheat the wax in-between because it hardens so quickly. Its a nice concept, but the wax quality needs to be improved significantly.
