Product Description Double-sided activity centre. Spin the drum and turn the clicking flower. Press the squeaker and spin the rattling ball. Use the peek-a-boo mirror and slide the counting beads. The toy comes with 4 shapes for shape sorting and colour matching fun, and each shape rattles with its own sound. The toy will engage most of baby's primary senses. The toy secures firmly to most surfaces with the use of four individual suction cups. Activities such as a spinning drum and ball, along with a clicker, counting beads and a squeaker, all combine to keep the child entertained, but at the same time introducing the child to concepts such as sound and movement. On the other side of the toy there is a shape sorter, which will help develop a child's manipulative skills, while also aiding shape and colour recognition. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); Box Contains 1 x Activity Centre See more

The front is brilliant ....
The other reviewers were right - the suction pads are next to useless! Usually they work by trapping air but the 4 on this activity station are 10 p piece sized and virtually flat. We have found the only way to keep it still is using a Tommee Tippee suction mat designed for keeping baby bowls on the high chair.I really love the side shown here, it is even better than the photo as it has some high contrast black and white elements on the squeaker and the clicker (bottom right and left knobs). Our 6 month old loves this and it keeps her occupied once she is done throwing food everywhere (by that I mean eating!!) until we have finished our dinner. The other side with the shape sorter is a little dissapointing - I thought it would have other bits as well as shape sorting holes but it doesn't. The shapes (flower, circle, square, triangle) each rattle, but I would describe it as more of a jigsaw as they fit into a narrow hole. The pieces keep falling out and I'm not sure it will get much play as it is beyond little one at the moment, and even when she can do it, there isn't much incentive (like the satisfaction of dropping in a shape in a proper sorter) if you look at the Tolo website you can see a photo of it.I spent more money on this than other high chair toys because I felt it would provide diverse activity and so entertain for longer. I do really like it, but would probably be just as satisfied with 2 different cheaper toys.

Not really suitable for highchair use, but otherwise great!
Bought this as a birthday present for my 1 year old. She had it off the highchair table within seconds - the suction pads at the bottom prevent the toy from being lifted off, but she pushed against the top and rolled it off very easily. This is a bit disappointing given it is billed as a highchair toy and says it is suitable from 12 months, which is why it only gets 3 stars. We don't use it on the highchair, but she really loves playing with it - particularly the shape sorter, which has shapes that rattle. It has a good variety of things to play with and they provide good visual and auditory stimulation with bright colours and different sounds. I think it's probably suitable from a younger age than indicated on the box, maybe 7-8 months (when she might not have been able to push it off!).

Probably the best toy I've bought for my Twins
This is an absolutely fantastic baby toy, I bought it for my 8 month old twins and 6 months on it is still the first toy they go for whenever I get it out. And almost every baby that has visited for a playdate makes a beeline for it too.The rattle/shape sorter which is on the reverse is perfect size for babies to grab and each rattle makes a different noise. It is also the only highchair toy I have found which actually stays put on the highchair.

My one year old loves this toy. The shapes have a really nice gentle rattle sound and she always heads over to play with them. WE use it all round the house and not just in the high chair. She really likes the mirror on the other side which is very clear.

Finally a toy that sticks!
I was a bit apprehensive before buying this, what with a £20+ price and a review saying it doesn't stick. But I am so glad I did buy it. Not only does it stick so well with its 4 suction pads that my baby cannot budge it (or me sometimes!), but it is also highly entertaining. My baby (12months) loves the 4 detachable rattles and shakes them like crazy. I have to admit they do go on the floor a lot, but they still have the other side to play with at the same time. It is very easy for little fingers to use, with a knob to turn, a sqeaky button, high quality mirror, mini counters and two rollers. It is also high quality plastic and easy to clean. This is worth the investment if you want hassle free meal times. Wish we'd bought it months ago!
