Good Build Quality
These T2 adapters are a dime a dozen but some have poor fit tolerances so that was going to be my focus buying this. Also the main reason I bought this one was that it had the camera application silkscreened on the front of the adapter and for me that was important. I have so many of these lying around at times that I can't tell which one is for what camera until I try to install it on a Sony, Nikon, or Canon. Yes, I just should organize better but the silk screening was the main reason I bought it. So now for the fit, if it did not meet that criteria, it would be be sent back. Well, installed on the Canon R6, it fit perfectly and smoothly. Clicked into position positively and no play. This sample for me was great so I am very happy that it met all my criteria and I can use it readily in the future and most importantly, I will be able to easily identify it upon sight.

Good with caveats.
The good: works well with my m42 lenses. It isnt adjustable so i can’t always line the lenses up properly but i figured that when buying. The bad: getting this adapter off of my camera without using a tool like a small screwdriver is almost impossible. I’m glad i tried the small screwdriver or my camera would have been a permanent m42 mount. I use it on a rebel t6 so other cameras may not have the same problem.

Finally I can use my favorite vintage lenses!
My Minolta SRT101 was my favorite, but it got broken so I switched to an old SpotMatic. Lately I’ve been missing my lenses, and I had an old Canon T3i sitting around, and since this adapter is so affordable I figured why not give it a try? I’m pleased to report it works exactly as described! The quality is good; it feels solid and smoothly attached to my lenses and camera body.Another plus is correct infinity. You used to have to physically modify MD mount lenses to get it! Of course that’d be unacceptable, since I want to use them on my film Minolta when I fix it.Metering can be a little weird, but fortunately, the body I’m using is digital, so some free trial and error helps figure out how metering skews in different environments. I had to stop down a ton in daylight and stop up indoors, but I haven’t explored my camera’s metering settings much. I don’t really mind, since I do this to a lesser degree when shooting film anyway. Because of this, I’ve found full manual the nicest mode.

Otherwise functional, but disturbingly crunchy
While the adapter does work for fitting the FD lens to the EF mount camera, the lens is hard to mount to the adapter, and the adapter is even harder to mount to the camera. The adapter interfaces to the EF mount so snugly that it was extremely hard to remove from the camera body, being able to release only in an extremely precise position. I was actually worried that the adapter was permanently jammed into the camera body! The adapter reacts the same to every EF mount body that I have, so it's definitely a tolerance issue. Furthermore, the lens I'm using it with is originally a f2.8 lens, but converting the lens with this adapter is making it take equivalent brightness photos to an f5.6 lens! That's an extremely drastic loss of light all things considered, so the value proposition of this adapter is extremely low. The aperture lock/open ring also does not function when the FD mounting mechanism is tightened all the way, and only functions when the lens is almost falling off the FD mount. Overall, this is a poor implementation of an adapter that isn't worth the cost or the potential damage to the camera body/lens.
