I use these in my flower pots because ants seem to love to crawl into them! At first you will see an increase in ants but be patient. Within a few weeks you’ll see less and eventually they will be gone! You do need to change these once or twice during the summer months because they will eventually evaporate but it’s not a difficult thing to do. Just snip off the top and stick it into the soil. I buy these every summer!

These ant baits are FANTASTIC. I had been having ant issues during the summer like crazy. They were getting in through the smallest door crevice and I couldn't stop it, until I got these. These were the easiest things to set up. I just cut the top off slightly and let the ants find their ways to it. I just placed them where they were always headed to, the kitchen, and left it there for a few weeks. After that time, I stopped seeing ants inside the house. I don't know if these got rid of them permanently, but I only used one pack this past summer and have a few packs left to use next year.

Like many others, I’m puzzled by the design change in this product. The old version was much easier to use—simple to set up, and squirrels barely paid attention to it. Unfortunately, the new green transparent design has some drawbacks.Firstly, it’s harder to push into the ground firmly compared to the old design. This can make installation frustrating, especially in tougher soil. Secondly, squirrels seem to find this new version more intriguing and can easily pull it out, rendering it ineffective. While TERRO products are usually reliable, this redesign feels like a step backward. It might work well in areas without wildlife interference, but for now, I’m missing the practicality of the older version.

After trying every natural ant killer, decided to give these baits a try in desperation. For the last 3 years our deck has been invaded with pavement ants summer to early fall who invade when food is dropped on the deck or they find left over pet snacks. Once they moved in even with no food crumbs they came everyday! We tried everything, sprays, powders, vinegar, peppermint, but nothing worked. We decided to try the ant bait stakes as they were affordable and discreet and no spraying chemicals on our deck. I am now happy to report that - these stakes WORK! I put one under the deck and within the week - zip - No ants! Decided to put a couple around the yard where black ants had set up hills under bushes and near our foundation. Same results! No more ants! Next spring I will be placing these stakes ahead of time in the same areas to trap any ants that try to move in. We only used 3 stakes and had success. Happy to be enjoying our deck without pesky ants everywhere!
