Works perfectly in my VW Splitscreen. Very bright indeed. Wouldn't work in my classic 1964 Fiat 500 without buying a headlight relay loom converter, these only cost about ten pounds from amazon, then the bulbs don't have a strobe light effect flicker. Very happy with the warm white colour too.

Fantastic. Brighter light that looks OEM, no horrible blue tint like most of the other LED bulbs. CRI appears to be good, with greens and reds nice and clear. Beam pattern in my Citroen C1 is fine, a little higher than the halogen bulbs, but I just set the load adjuster down 1 notch. LEDs never last as long as they say. Time will see what these are like.

My Classic had sealed beam headlight units, 60W/45W. not very good for driving at night on dark rural roads. I decided to upgrade and fit halogen conversions. These Philips lamps are far from cheap, but I bought a pair. The specified life expectancy, at 1500 hours, could be better though. I have checked their "aim", and the headlights did require adjusting down. Dipped beam has a well defined cut off, unlike some l.e.d.s which have a large light scatter. The 3500K warm white output is about the same as an equivalent halogen lamp. I don't know how the cooling functions because, except for the connectors, most of the lamp is inside the light unit and sealed in by the close fitting rubber cover. Hence no air circulation. It will be interesting to see how long they last - 2 years and a day?
