Fun for backyard stargazing
We purchased this to take camping and view the planetary alignment earlier this year. I was very impressed with the adjustability as well as the portability of the Celtic Bird 80x600mm AZ telescope. It has made a fun addition to our camping trips and the kids have enjoyed using it at home, too. Hoping to try our hand at using the phone mount to take pictures. Easy to use and good magnification for a casual backyard sky enthusiast.

Excellent Telescope for the Home Enthusiast
This is a wonderful telescope that comes with everything you need to have a great time stargazing. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son, who will be going into aerospace engineering in the fall, and he loves it.The kit comes with a great tripod that’s sturdy enough to keep things stable and secure when using, all the lens filters and adapters you need, it’s small enough to be convenient and something he can take to college with him, but large enough to “feel real” and not flimsy or like a toy; plus, it comes with a convenient bag to keep everything in one place. The best feature for my son is the phone holder to take photos with his phone camera.Images are clear and the magnification is great. I’ve always enjoyed telescopes but never had one of my own. Being able to purchase this as a gift for my son at such a great price point was a no-brainer. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a great jumping-off point for strolling the skies! Great product!

A Stellar Starter Scope
The 80x600 mm AZ Telescope is a solid entry-level to mid-range refractor telescope that offers impressive performance for both beginner and intermediate skywatchers. With an 80mm aperture and 600mm focal length, it delivers crisp, bright views of the Moon, planets, and even some brighter deep-sky objects like the Pleiades or Orion Nebula.

Bought for outside yard/river viewing; good basic telescope.
I ordered this telescope for my husband for Christmas (he picked it out), but I was really interested in it for myself for the house! I have been happy using this to watch birds and boats -- our large front kitchen windows look out on a river. It has been very good for this! My only complaint is that the spotting scope image is reverse (upside down and flipped right to left) and I have to keep that in mind with a moving target -- the direction it is moving is the opposite way! (I think my husband installed a piece that came with the telescope so the eye piece/viewer would not be reverse.) The tripod is lightweight and the scope isn't heavy, so it is easy to move if in the way and to raise or lower for grandkids to look through also. Photos are through my cell phone without an adapter, just me holding it to eye piece.

Great beginner telescope
Easy setup, lots of lenses and filters. Very portable. Got it to enjoy starry nights with the kids and has been enjoyable with little to no frustration we had in some other telescopes. We are by no means pros but as amateurs, it checks all the boxes, especially for the price.

It's totally worth it
Super cool. Good cost benefit. Easy to assemble. I first used it during the supermoon eclipse last fall, and it was a hit in my building rooftop. Also great for city watching, I could see the screen at Wrigley Field and follow the Cubs games from afar.

Good for beginners
Lens quality is good. Telescope could be better. Mechanics need improvement. Cap doesn't stay on. For a beginner astronomer, it's a good telescope. This was a gift for my photographer daughter and she said the lens does what it needs to do for a beginner.

I Bought a Telescope and Became an Astronaut (Almost)
Okay, maybe not an astronaut… but this 80x600mm AZ Telescope definitely made me feel like one! I wasn’t expecting NASA-level stuff, but let me tell you — the first time I pointed it at the moon, I gasped so loud I scared my cat. The craters looked like I could land a spaceship there!Setup was super easy — even for someone like me who usually ends up with extra screws and missing pieces. The tripod is sturdy, and the whole thing looks way fancier than what I paid. I even managed to spot Jupiter and do a little happy dance in my pajamas. If you’re looking to dip your toes into stargazing without needing a PhD in astrophysics (or selling a kidney), this telescope is a total win. 10/10 would recommend to future space travelers like me.
