I bought the Yale Keypad a week ago and already feel the convenience it brings. The pin code entry and one-touch locking make it simple to use, and pairing it with the phone app makes locking/unlocking effortless. I even connected it with Alexa, and it works flawlessly with voice commands. Very happy with this smart upgrade!

Easy to use, easy to install and set up, love that you can create personalized codes. The design looks great; overall, great product.

Where to begin conveying all the problems with this company and their shoddy products. (1) The app can't configure or setup the lock from Android. It attempts to, it has the features to do so, but it will fail to communicate with the lock (i.e. Bluetooth communications) at multiple steps throughout the setup process. Once I got support on the phone, they admitted it wouldn't work on Android, but that wasn't documented in advance! They just suckered me into buying a lock that I can't setup with my own phone. It was just luck that I have an iPad lying around, as my family doesn't have any iPhones to use. If I didn't, I'd be screwed (see note about return costs below). (2) It takes the app too long to reestablish a connection with the lock each time you launch the app. Everything about interacting with the app and the lock is slow and unresponsive. It'll get there eventually, but it takes time. (3) The keypad won't let you add multiple fingerprints for a single person. You get one per phone number (i.e. per user or per person), so you can't configure a fingerprint for each hand, for example, depending on what you're carrying. (4) The keypad CANNOT BE CONFIGURED with a fingerprint for anyone -- owner or guest -- WHO DOESN'T HAVE THEIR OWN PHONE! So you can't add a child's fingerprint to the keypad. This is documented NOWHERE! The only reason I bought this lock was to enable my kid to get in the house after school. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT IT and she will have to use a code when the fingerprint sensor is right there, beckoning her. She was kinda excited about that feature. THAT WAS WHY I GOT IT FOR HER. This failure is NOT documented!!!!!! (5) And lastly, they charge you for shipping to return their deceptively advertised junk (I admit, I didn't buy it from Amazon; I bought it directly from Yale). Don't buy anything from this company. Don't buy a different item either, because in my opinion the problems reflect weaknesses not just of the product, but of the company as a whole.

This lock makes things so much easier when I’m the first one home! I didn’t purchase on Amazon (I bought directly from the website), but as long as Amazon sends you the Yale lock this thing is elite! It locks as I’m leaving and coming automatically and is just so easy to work with! Installation was a struggle bus but once we figured it out it has been nothing short of amazing!

We have had it on two doors for about 1yr. It works great! Very secure and convenient. You can use the app or keypad for exit and entry. You can also get notified when a door is left unlocked. Great addition to our home.
