Louisiana Fish Fry Products Cajun Gumbo Base 5 OZ (Pack of 2)

If you've ever made gumbo from scratch it takes time and can be hit or miss if you get distracted and the roux gets too hot during the 30 minutes you are stirring.This product is quick, easy and very tasty. I added deboned dove I shot the week before including the hearts and gizzards. Added shrimp, chicken, sausage, okra and onions. Friends told me it was the best gumbo they ever tasted. (Granted it was good but they need to spend more time in New Orleans.). But for a quick, easy meal with enough to share it's perfect.

The flavor was great and you can tell the gumbo package has quality ingredients. This was a good value for the price I paid and the directions are easy to follow.

This was so delicious and easy to make. I had never had Gumbo before, and I loved it ! It was so good ! Added shrimp, chicken, and sausage, okra, and tomatoes to gumbo for a delicious tasty dish. Used rice as a topper and then mixed it into my bowl. I highly recommend this product.

We had some leftover shrimp and sausage from a meal and gumbo came to mind. I didn't want to go through the effort of making a roux so where do you go, Amazon and type in gumbo mix and bam! bam! they had "Louisiana Base Gumbo" Chopped up the shrimp & sausage, peppers, onion, rice, okra and BAM! we had, how you say, GUMBO!! Very good, will definitely buy again.

Great value for money. Not as spicy as I would like or as thick but overall it’s a Decent product.
